jessecwalters
Any body installed this on their moto droid yet? Ive been looking around on how to root or whatever, but the ones I keep finding dont seem very good. So if you have done it, where are the files you got for it? and did you use a guide, cuz i will need one. My phone is currently unrooted. Also, about how long did it take you from start to finish? Tomcat0403
Look difficult enough for me to not want to mess with it..plus the roots I have seen go back tp droid 2.
jessecwalters
yea, thats what i was thinking. looks too involved for my laziness. But im tired of waiting for 2.
flounder
Hit up AndroidForums or forums.XDA or Unrevoked. All will have idiots guides for rooting. You will probably want to do the Toast Root method (At least for Evo). Im not sure that 2.2 is completely up and running so just do some searching. Here are the steps for rooting the new HTC Evo. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=690762http://www.unrevoked.com/Google is your friend. http://www.google.com/search?q=root+site%3Aandroidforums.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Edited June 11, 2010 by flounder
DangBruhY
I thought the Incredible was going to be one of the first ones to get it? I don't have it on my phone yet. It should be a simple push to your phone.

waitemike85
I have a Droid and im just gonna wait for the official release, from what I have read Verizon/Moto will be pushing it out "soon" what that really means I dont know.I was rooted and I honestly didn't notice many things that were different except for overclocking. So if I were you I would just wait,2.1 isnt that bad at least I dont think so but thats just my opinion.
jessecwalters
Yea, I've heard "soon" too, about a month+ ago. But I agree, 2.1 isn't bad. I would just like to have flash so I can watch shows on my breaks everynight
