Disclaimer
Don't pay it. It's a civil infraction... not a criminal one. They can't do anything to your license. Worst case, it ends up at a bill collector and they try to brow beat you into paying it - don't.I'm not sure if it ends up on your credit report, but I doubt it. Read up on the laws. These cameras are bullshit and cities need to realize they WON'T generate income if people stop paying them...
TenTwelve
Cool... I'll read up on it as much as I can. Have to run it by my lawyer cousin too.
jbot
my parents have gotten ticketed with the downtown/midtown cleveland camera(s) and i'm pretty sure they said that if they didn't pay, a warrant would be called in for their arrest. that's just what i read from the report, so who knows. wrillo
"dealt with" ? ... like as in spraypaint the lenses? LOLI've always wanted to do that just to protest the idea, but I have too much fun watching the flash light up the night when some low life runs a red light. In my book, running red lights = you are trash. Thats how the first nice car I bought got trashed
Kosmo
I'm pretty certain I got popped. I travel that often so I know, there is one on cedar near university RTA station as well. wrillo
Right, sorry if that came off wrong... I meant to make the distinction that Dayton only has red light cameras. Didn't mean poop on your parade
