Zorro
I recently replaced my bent OEM handle bars for my ATV with new OEM handle bars. The original bars have weights/dampers in each end. After you slide the grip on, an additional bar end screws in to each damper. My questions are...Can I reuse these dampers? If so, after removing the bar ends and removing the original grips, how do I get the dampers out of the original bars and in to the new ones?I thought about taking a hacksaw to them...but there's gotta be a better way. Thanks in advance... Zorro
Last night I sprayed PB Blaster Penetrating Oil down both ends of the handlebars. I hacksawed one end, took a screwdriver and a hammer and pounded one out without issue. I looked at the damper and realized that only two rubber washers, one on each side, hold it in place. For the other end, I screwed the bar end back in and just gave it a good yank, and out it came. Kinda reminds me of my early high school years Thanks to those who responded!
