Hoblick
anyone painted a bike motor.. specifically a air cooled motor..im wanting to paint the motor on the roadstar black, but aside from it being a pain in the ass to do, im wondering how well it will hold up to the heat, washing the bike, and normal wear form debris off the road and such. ReconRat
I've done it. With high temp engine paint. It's ok for a while, but then needs touch up again. Next time I'm using GunKote or DuraCoat. GunKote used to be made for British motorcycle air cooled engines, before they switched to the firearms market. There's at least one or more type that tempers up on the bike, without having to be baked in an oven.
