chevysoldier
SFC Bradley Hughes, 41, of Newark, died Sunday (24 April) of a non-combat incident in the Kandahar Province of Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Tuesday. He was assigned to the 528th Sustainment Brigade in Fort Bragg, N.C., according to a news release.http://www.newarkadvocate.com/article/20110426/NEWS01/110426010/Army-Sgt-1st-Class-Bradley-S-Hughes-Newark-dies-AfghanistanHe was one of the recruiters in Newark when I joined the Army in 2003. Went to National Trails with him and some other recruits. I also ran into him a few times at the Hartford Fair after basic training. He was a really good guy and I'm honored to have know him. It saddens me and pisses me off when this kind of thing happens to someone I knew. Stand down SFC Hughes, your mission is complete. Rest In Peace Brother.
