crb Posted June 25, 2011 Report Share Posted June 25, 2011 Seller only need be present to sign title over. Then buyer can have their side notarized later. I bought two cars from private individuals and that's how we did it. I sold one car and only I was present took title to my insurance office she notarized it and i mailed the title to the buyer.
