mrmako777
i have about 4 of these buttons on my 03 gsxr track bike that are loose on the right side. left side rotor is completely fine (buttons are tight and rotor doesnt move on the carrier). is this ok to ride like this or do i need to get new ones? is this fixable? can i just press the buttons to being tight again?heres a video to illustrate what im referring tohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_K-4pQvEiag&feature=related
Helmutt
Seems like (1) your rotor is out of round or (2) some of the isolators are crushed a bit -- either way I wouldnt ride it, replace both rotors and slap a set of new pads in
flounder
Allot of people do this intentionally, Cheap way of making makeshift free floating rotors.

c7fx
Yeah I have taken the shims out of the rotors of my Rc51. They would rattle when I moved the bike but after 10k miles mostly on the track I never had a problem. Plus it was one of a very few RC's that the front wheel would free wheel spin
Helmutt
Really? Never heard of this -- logic tells me otherwise, so seems I'm learning some inventive stuff here!
