J_Copeland
How can I tell if the ones I got off of eBay are real or ripoffs?
ReconRat
Did it ship in a Chinese box or envelope?Find some real ones and compare. Look at the number of stitches per inch, type of lining, and thickness of leather, and see if it's the same.
J_Copeland
It was in an Alpinestar bag, they look to be legit but I see no Kevlar lining on the inside of the gloves that I can see !
Radio Flyer
Biggest give away is if you can feel a seem inside of the glove. Another giveaway is if your thumb webbing gets sort of pinched in the glove. There is also a dead giveaway somewhere in the lettering/ logo on the glove somewhere or in stitch color on the glove.I got a bad pair once and confirmed it by a lettering difference/ logo difference or in the coloring of thread used on the seams of the gloves. Can't remember exactly what it was but it was one of the issues stated above.
ReconRat
This from a website:1) You can tell by the stitching on the pinky of the gloves. Stitching will go through the Alpinestar logo. 2) Inside of the gloves, the tags will be simple, where as the official one will have other shit written.3) leather is also really low quality + no vents in between the fingers and really bad printing on them4) no Kevlar lining. But yeah, people are talking about the Kevlar lining being missing...I'd guess if it was in the $40-100 range, probably not the real thing.
