Fan engineer: Design and redesign of new and existing fans and blowers which includes:Good interpretations of customer specifications,Developing approval drawings for submitting to the customer,Detailing manufacturing drawings for the fan plant,Develop factory fan orders for the plant to manufacture the fans[*]Internal and external customer support, especially sales[*]Help develop engineering standards handbook[*]Revise and update engineering standards handbook. Supervisory:Oversees own projects to satisfactory completionWork hand-in-hand with the plant during manufacturingImplemented quick, efficient solutions to keep projects on schedule if there are hiccups along the way SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: · SolidWorks & CosMos Works · AutoCadComputers: MS Office suite, GSSAbility to work well with minimal supervision · AMCA & ASHRAE knowledgeWorks well with people at all levels and good communication skills. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Minimum B. Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (minimum)3+ years Fan Design experience or related field a plusFamiliarity with “SolidWorks” and/or AutoCAD is an advantageExperienced in the areas of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic), piping (metal and PVC), ventilation, air handling equipment, and structural steelKnowledge of any or some of these is a plus: AMCA, ANSI, ASHRAE, ASTM standards, OSHA standards, NEMA, UL, CSA standards, ATEX Directive standardsWorking knowledge of Sound and Vibrations pertaining to fans is a plus.
