The US Navy took it away within a few days, claiming it as theirs. No explanation given by the US Navy.I doubt this one with half inch thick stainless steel would float.I suspect it's some sort of inertial navigation device. Nothing more....rotation sensors (gyroscopes) to continuously calculate via dead reckoning the position, orientation, and velocity (direction and speed of movement) of a moving object without the need for external references.And old school technology, at that...edit: but notice I DIDN'T say it wasn't alien....
