I found out about this site a few weeks ago, and I have heard it pop up a few times (greggo show) so I thought I'd check it out. Seems like a good group of people.I'm a ducatista in Gahanna Ohio, I ride on the street every once in a while, but I save most of my riding for at the track. My bike is now torn apart, with the engine in Cincy with my mechanic. Hopefully I can get it back together for a ride before the end of the month! AthensGTI Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 6, 2007 Yes, I have the red 900ss, and you just made me hungry for wings.A common problematic bearing seems to have failed on the output shaft, allowing it to move slightly closer to the back wheel under load, and transferring that "less than wanted" movement to the shift fork, bending it. It is now stuck in 3rd gear....But, on the positive side, it lets me throw some other goodies in there (high comp pistons) while the case is split.
