Chrome
How many more times can they race a car and a bike. Seems to always have the same outcome. Don't get me wrong though both are very impressive machines, but I'm just over the whole "who will beat who, 4 wheels or 2" races.

Pokey
I would very much like to own both.
vw151
And..... bikes are faster than cars. Point driven home again. Only time I've seen a car win one of these races is when they extend a drag race so far that a car reaches over 200mph.

FIJI-9-Brother
you can buy at least 10 of the 1198s before you even get close to what you would spend on the Ferrari... I don't have 275,000 yet, so for now ill stick to bikes.
Mykill
How many more times can they race a car and a bike. Seems to always have the same outcome. Don't get me wrong though both are very impressive machines, but I'm just over the whole "who will beat who, 4 wheels or 2" races.Maybe because it is entertaining and people like seeing two impressive machines trying to outperform one another
redkow97
Exactly. The two words I have for car guys are "value" and "skill."Although I would like to see what kind of laps the average track day guy could turn. I'd be pleased to get within 10 seconds of Steve rapp's 1:19. My guess is that it would be much more possible for a car junky to get within 10 seconds of Justin Bell's 1:22. Would the bike still be faster for non-pro's? For club racers, I think it would be close. For people with less skill, I bet the security of 4 wheels would mean the car would win out for 90% of the world's driving population. vw151
That's a tough call. I'm glad they put pro against pro though. I think that gives the best controlled outcome. Laptimes are a very dynamic thing, even amoung pros.
redkow97
They also didn't say what tires were mounted on either vehicle. That could close the gap very quickly, or widen it by a couple more seconds.
