The cheekpad for the RF1200 exhibits an unnecessary and troublesome notch along the edge that should seal against the riders cheek. Instead this notch creates a gap that causes a whistling sound when your speed exceeds about 50 mph.
BTW: The red straps are part of the emergency pad release system which is a great feature - or might be some day.
