Hello all, I'm Chad and am happy to be apart of something this great. I hope to become a productive member of this community and make a few friends on the way. I am 35 years young and work as an Industrial Electrician in Texas and Louisiana. I make it home every 2 to 3 months for a week or 2. Kinda sucks being on the road all of the time but I make good money and times are hard around here. I have had a love of cars for a long, long time. I've owned plenty of cars in my day but the ones I have now are a whole lot more fun. I currently own a 1998 Grand Prix GTP, 1998 Firebird Trans am A4, 2007 F150... I've had the GTP for several years and have run a best of 14.2@97 w/ 2.1 60'...this was on my stock pulley. I just bought the TA while I was home for Christmas and I must say it is a huge improvement over the GTP. That whine will always have a special place in my heart though... I've had the truck since it was new and I've thrown some 22's on there to make it slower than it already was... What's up guys, finally got around to joining this forum. My name is Ryan, live in the north campus area (and pretty much hate it), and I'm currently attending OSU for communication technology. I just sold my fun car this past weekend (k20a2 swapped civic) and have been anxiously searching all over the internet trying to find some sort of project that catches my eye. I've really been toying with the idea of a V8 FC RX7 since I've got a free LT1 at my disposal, but who knows. So many cool things to build out there. I live by lake erie. I have a great family with 3 younger children. I've been around racing and motorsports my entire life. ?My uncle ran early superstock and pro-stock cars and I've met several of the legends in drag racing who would stay with us while traveling in the area. I have a 1994 Camaro and a 1966 rambler wagon. From 1 newb to another welcome...

i was told to repost about my buying experience from wideopenthrottle. i bought roller rocker from him, scorpion roller rockers 1.7 ratio, pedestal mount. it wasnt listed in the ad but i pmed him and called him asking if they were pedestal mount or stud mount, and i was told "pedestal mount, not stud". got the rockers and they wher 7/16 stud mount, they were gold not blue with the gold scorpion on them and i have no idea the ratio on them. the only thing i do know is that he put them in a used scorpion roller rocker box for 1.6rr, pedestal mount 5/16,sbf. now i have 3 set of 7/16 stud 1.6 and 1.7 rockers that i have no use for. now i am stuck with them. i tried to get a hold of him and hasnt replied to either phone calls or pm's. i have left him many messages on both with no answer. i belong to buckeyestangs and he has been logged in there at least once a dayfor the last 8 days. i have left him pm's at both places and i know he has gotten the message that its not what wed agreed upon, i told him in the messages that id trade him back the rockers and give him a few more bux for the fuel rails, at least i could have used them. but noway nohow is this guy going to reply to any of my messages. he has abondoned cr for bs, i know he been on the computer so i know hes been on the boards and there is no reason not to get back in touch with me. so just becarefull of you who you buy from and deffinately should not buy from wideopenthrottle cuz you just dont know what your gonna get, and be sure to buy it in person so that you can see it before give/sending you money to him in particular. just wanted to let you guy now not to buy from him and get the same results as i did.here is the listing of the sale ad in the swap meet: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59310 so you can see for yourself.
