I sold my N64 to a member on OR last year.....

I thought The price for the tune was more than resonable.... I couldnt have gotten it for any cheaper around where I live..... and My bike pulled harder throughout the RPM band as well
-
still willing to trade the super moto straight up....

I take it you never worked on the bike? I am assuming you were busy riding off road

Its so-so. Poor guy has his nights and days mixed up. It seems that he/we sleeps pretty good about every other night so far since we have been home from the hospital. the nights when he doesnt sleep well, there is nothing we can do to comfort him. its not because he is hungry, needs burped, or needs a diaper change. I think he just like to scream. So far its been a lot easier with a baby than expected. he sleeps a lot during the day too. and changing diapers isnt that bad. Iv gotten pretty good. Mandy put me on diaper duty till I go back to work next week. Some times I wish I had boobs so I could feed the litte guy. I would probabably play with them too between feedings

Thanks everyone for the congrats. I just got home from being at the hospital for 2 days. had to check up on the dog. Its nice to have time to myself agiain. going back to the hospital tonight. The Mrs. and the little one will be comming home tomorrow afternoon. Our son weighed 8lbs 9oz and was 21.5 in long with a full head of dark brown hair and deep blue eyes. Luckily, there were no major complications. and let me say it is the greatest feeling in the world to see your son/daughter come out into this world. I am man enough to admit that I cried my eyes out in joy How'd you know? some how thru Facebook Im guessing? Neither, I only rock the silver chrome, but its a boy.

The only maintence I have done to it in the short time I have owned it is just oil, tranny, brake, coolant fluid services so I cannot tell you for sure. The previous owner checked the valves last year and they were still in spec. I assume that they will probably need checked again before next riding season. I havent had any issues with it. Oh I forgot to mention that the forks were rebuilt this past January.

Im selling my 2004 CRF250X Sumo. All you have to do is swap rims and you are ready for dirt or street. Excel supermoto 17 inch rims with Talon hubs, stock dirt rims and tires, EBC 320mm front brake with braided line, stock brake parts, street and dirt gearing, rear hand brake set up if you want to stunt it, vapor trail tech, pro circuit titanuim slip on and carb jetted for pipe, radiator braces, engine ice, custom graphics, supermoto front fender, stock fender, headlight, tail light and turn signals, mirror, titled for street and street legal. The 250X has the wide ratio 5spd tranny that is better for the street than the R model which has the close ratio tranny. Asking $3500 as it sets. The bike alone has over $1500 worth of aftermarket parts to sumo it out right. It would be cheaper to buy this one set up than to buy a dirt bike and then sumo it out with the right stuff. I bought it this past January from another member on the forum to play around on the street and get back into dirt riding but I never touched the dirt.

I did'nt mention it but when I said 4-strokes are a pain to strat after dumping, I was speaking from experience from my XR400. not a fun bike to start after a fall
-
Plus a 2 stroke normally starts 1st or 2nd kick everytime if its tuned right. And if you dump the bike in the trails, it will fire right back up very easily unlike some of the 250 and 450 4 strokes. I had an 04 yz125 and that thing was bullet proof. had it for only two years and never had to rebuild the top end or do any other maintence. just adjust ant lube the chain and use quality 2-smoke oil. I reccomend a clean burning synthetic such as golden spectro.
-
YZ... 250 2-strokes are retarded fast
-
come on over... its beat to shit, but what bike on OR isnt?
-
Wanna trade for my super moto? LOL
-
figure anything out on this yet?

Sounds like a similar issue I went thru on my 01 F4i. Easy fix.... take your clip-ons off, then take the ignition switch and top tripple tree clamp off. Underneath the top clamp,(once removed) you will see two thin, oddly shapped nuts that secure the head bearings and steering stem in place. Its common for them to work themself loose over time. Its happened to me twice in the 8 years I've ownd mine. So basically, the nut on top is the lock nut. There is a shim with some locking tabs between the two nuts. Take the top nut off and the locking shim. Tighten the bottom stem nut with a large pair of channel lock pliers. Then put the locking shim and top nut back on and tighten. You will see how the locking shim works once you have it apart. then put the top clamp and clip-ons back on and you are ready to rock n' roll. Some things you might be noticing that makes you feel like a lose head bearing are, the front end feels like its falling off when you hit a bump, or when you get on the brakes hard enough, you feel the front pivot forward a litte bit. I almost bet you just need to tighten the nuts. The head bearing should be ok unless you have been riding around on it like this for a while, then its probably worn out.

I hope you like to fabricate..... I have an Arrow race header and midpipe matched with my 2 bros can. My set up isn't quite a high mount, but it is higher than stock since its a race system. What I had to do was buy a new foot peg bracket, cut the tab off where the oem muffler mounting bolt goes thru the foot peg. Smooth it out. Then I had to cut 2 spacers to space the bracket out from the sub frame and buy 2 longer bolts from the hardware store. I also made a one off muffler bracket that is contoured to the same shape as the back of the peg bracket to mount directly between my peg bracket and spacers. Its a slick set up and it looks like the pipe is floating in mid air. I am still waiting on some pieces to get back from the chrome shop. Those guys take forever. It didnt help that they lost my spacers twice, so I had to make new ones. For the spacers, I could not find anything at the hardware store big enough, so I used 6061 Aluminum rod that I got off ebay. for the F4i, use the 3/4 inch round rod. Once you determine the length of the spacers that you need, cut them to size but cut straight. Luckily, I have a friend with a milling machine, so he milled both ends of the spacer for me to ensure that both ends are flat and mounts up to the frame and peg bracket nice and straight. Then, you will need to drill a hole thru the center of the spacer so you can run the bolts thru. Then put it all together and ride it like you stole it. Here is a link to the guy I get my Aluminium round rod from on ebay. He is in MI and ships pretty quick and ships for free... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230396123415&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
