  1. T Rex I agree...being that I once breed them I think $400-$600 for a boxer is fair anything over that is crazy and I feel the breeder is taking the buyer for a ride. Some great dogs are mutts as well yeah you can also check boxer rescues many people get these types of dogs and don't know how to handle them. Boxers are full size dogs but the think they are lap dogs!!! LOL Or even an older boxer that has grey hair...I think those are so cool. I like older dogs just that like to go out and strool through the park.
  2. OHHHH!!!! Forgot to tell you about all white boxers!!!!! BE careful!!!! White boxers tend to have alot of health problems. When I got into breeding I learned that they were considered defective dogs. For example I do not think you can register a all white boxer with the AKC. Unless things have changed but for show dogs you can not show an all white boxer. Don't get me wrong the make great pets but I learned that all white boxers are the ones out of the litter that can be born deaf. Here is some info from a boxer site "According to the American Boxer Club "Approximately twenty-five percent (and this is an estimation as exact records have not been maintained) of all Boxer puppies are either white or almost all white, making white puppies neither 'rare' nor 'unusual.'" Since the white coat color is recessive, both parents need to be a carriers of the gene that creates white offspring. The boxer breed standard stipulates that two-thirds of the body be either fawn or brindle in color. Because of this limitation, white boxers do not meet the breed standard and are therefore frequently euthinized at birth. Many breeders feel that white Boxers are inferior to standard colored Boxers and have more health problems that standard colored boxers and therefore this genocide is easily dismissed. The American Boxer Club does not activly discourage this behavior but it does allow white Boxers to be registered with the AKC on limited privilege." 7. White boxers can be registered BUT the white boxer does not meet the American Boxer Club's standard. The members code of ethics states that it is a infraction to register with the American Kennel Club a boxer of any color not allowed by the Standard. http://www.boxerbuddies.org/Boxer%20Info/white_boxers.htm Again not saying they are bad dogs at all I had a friend that owned a white boxer a male name was Mikey!!!! He was a great dog and was solid as a rock just a little agressive sometimes. If you want a good looking quality boxer and since you are going to be in Texas call Bargary Boxers 985-882-6976 it is a husband and wife (Barbara and Gary) they are in Louisana I met her at a dog show when I lived in Houston a few years ago. She had a female like I had never seen beautiful dog. LMK if you have any other questions!!!
  3. Well I wanna show-off my hooch!!! This is my boy Gixxer get it (GSX-R) He is 5 years old and I have had him since he came out of his mother's twat!!! I breed his mother and kept him out of the litter. He has been around kids since day one and only training he has had is from what I have taught him. He can walk off his leash and not run off sit stay lay down give hugs and handshake. Even if he does run off I can call him and he comes back. He is also kennel trained by me as well. He is very loyal even when we go to the dog park he wants to sit under my feet and not be social. I could not ask for a better dog. I have had 4 boxers 3 females and this one male and I have to say I like the males better training wise. The females were notorious for running off and being gone for hours. But like someone said before the famles are protective with kids. When me and my sons would wrestle around the house the female would come inspect and even growl or snap if one of the boys started whinning while having them in the headlock!!! lol But with boxers be prepared for farting, sighing, farting and more farting. Thankfully have not had one with cancer Gixxer's mom did have alergies but I learned an old school trick of giving them benedryl!!!! And it worked!!! We should have a boxer/car meet!!! http://i34.tinypic.com/19muew.jpg

  7. Yep you are correct need a chute for over 150 mph, but I confirmed with NHRA tech yesterday if you run 9.99 et or over 135 mph you need a 9 sec license. either FWD or RWD!!! I think this was a rule they put in place with the 135mph mid year 2007.
  8. I was told by NHRA as well as the officials at national trails that if you run faster than 135mph in the quarter for a FWD you must have a 9 sec license. FWD running over 135 is equal to a RWD running a 9.90 @ 135mph for what I was told.
  9. Can anyone recommend me to a chassis shop that does roll cages. I need to get my car prepared for sub 9 sec and over 150 mph specs. roll cage, window net, and parachute mount...And someone that can weld chromoly!!! Thanks
  10. OH yeah btw BIG THANKS to Kevin @ Clifford Automotive for painting my front end!!!

  18. Per the NHRA rule book Section 1.7 B. At any time when involved in racetrack activities, drivers and officials are prohibited from being under the influence of alcohol. 1. There shall be a “zero tolerance” policy with regard to alcohol. Any driver or official discovered to have a measurable blood alcohol content during racetrack activities shall be deemed under the influence of alcohol and shall be immediately barred from any further involvement or participation in the event. Further, he or she will be subject to disciplinary action as provided for in this Substance Abuse Policy. That sucks especially if he was out with his team the night before drinking and it was still in his system which is possible!!!
  19. I agree I am kind of on the fence on this one...I mean it was a 16 y.o. that got shoot but what if the guy that shot him had his own kids in the car and was defending them. Its a lose lose situation...I feel sorry for both sides.
  20. Palin is scandalous!!! http://www.ktva.com/ci_10026165 Investigation to begin into whether Governor Sarah Palin abused her power in firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan By Corey Allen-Young, CBS 11 News Reporter Article Last Updated: 07/28/2008 06:49:51 PM AKDT Lawmakers will hire someone within a week to investigate whether Governor Sarah Palin abused her power in firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. The legislative council approved 100,000 dollars for the investigation that will find out whether Palin was angry at Monegan for not firing an Alaska State Trooper who went through a messy divorce with Palin's sister. On Monday afternoon, the Joint Legislative Council, filled with Republicans and Democrats, voted 12 to 0 to formally call for an investigation against Governor Palin in a manner—that they are stressing—will be unbiased and done in a timely fashion. Legislators approved hiring a special investigator to look into the controversial firing of former Public Courtesy, KTOO-TV Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. Monegan was fired two weeks ago without explanation and has said he was pressured by the governor and her staff to fire a trooper who was once married to Palin's sister. Accusations have risen that Monegan was fired for his refusal to fire trooper Michael Wooten. The council's intent is to investigate the circumstances and events surrounding the termination of Monegan and potential abuses of power and improper action by the Governor and her administration. "It is the intent of the legislative council that the investigation be professional, unbiased, independent, objective, and conducted at arms length from the political process," said, Senator Kim Elton, a Democrat from Juneau. The council's intent is to investigate the circumstances and events surrounding the termination of Monegan and potential abuses of power and improper action by the governor and her administration. "I think what it really gets down to is after the comma, add potential abuses of power and improper actions is really what we are looking at or at least proposing to look at?" said Representative John Harris, a Republican from Valdez. Governor Palin has denied the accusations, saying she replaced Monegan Courtesy, KTOO-TV to go in a new direction. And although she doesn't think an investigation is needed, she welcomes the questions. The council went through a detailed meeting to make sure the process is done in a timely manner with accurate results. "We will get from this is," said Senator Hollis French, a Democrat from Anchorage, "no evidence of wrong doing, some evidence of wrong doing, clear evidence of wrong doing, that will come back to us." "At that point the body has to make the decision: 'Is this evidence strong enough to proceed on or not?'" "I think it should be made very clear because there have been conversations about personnel matters that the issues really that we are dealing with here are not the termination of the public Courtesy, KTOO-TV safety commissioner," said Harris. Legislators hope that during this investigation that the politics are left out of the mix, which can be hard for government officials. "What really remains is the most significant hurdle," said Representative Jay Ramras, a Republican from Fairbanks. "Are those professionals going to feel compelled to be subpoenaed before they will speak candidly about what they know?" Senator French is the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman and is in charge of hiring the investigator. He says he has a short list of candidates and that the investigation should be finished within a few months.
