Ok well first check your your brake switch. Then check your actual cruise control unit under the hood. Make sure the secondary cable isn't a rusty mess. Finally assuming it is factory and not after market I myself would replace the multi function switch. Which is what you use to set the cruise and so forth. Also double check all of your fuses.

check the harnes conection at the back of the guage cluster. the bank sensor is located in the front or upper fairing in these bike and it sounds like a bank sensor thing. almost all of the bikes comunication runs through the cluster as well. just fyi

2002 Yamaha R1 $4500k OBO 24K miles Motor and Front Forks freshly rebuild @ 20K. The rebuilds weren't required just a preventive measure. Jardine GP shorty exhaust, power commander with custom map. Lots of internal goodies fresh brake pads Bike is really sharp HID's, Velocity stacks, K&N filter. Oil changed 1k ago. This bike is ready to ride and runs out strong. I am not in the position where I must sell. I am posting this for a buddy of mine. I am selling a complete Titanium M4 exhaust for a 2008 or 2009 Suzuki GSXR 600 or 750. This should also fit 2006 and 2007 It came on the bike when I bought it but I don't care for it and would like to buy something different. I am motivated to sell it but don't lowball me. The exhaust is still on the bike so you can hear it if you are interested. It will not take too long to remove it from the bike.
