  1. Good luck with your build, man. I'm in the process of fightering out my f2 as well so if you have any questions, feel free to hit me up. Also if you haven't checkout customfighters.com, they have a lot of good ideas, tips, pictures, etc.
  2. Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm getting more and more excited about it the closer I get to finishing. Haven't done much since, except put the carbs back on. Which by the way is a pain in the ass. Couldn't get all four to seat properly at the same time. Started to work on the wiring the other night, too so we'll see how far I can get with all that. Still don't know about what color to do the wheels. I guess we'll see when I ge there.
  3. And now mounted in the frame. Since I had no help, some of paint got chipped, but oh well. This is the only pic, I didnt think to take some before I moved it back to "my" side of the garage. Now which color to do the wheels. Yellow, red, or smoke??
  4. Alright, finally got the motor painted...metallic smoke with yellow highlights....
  5. Yep was going to do the metalic smoke and blue, but figured it's been done. Just happened to see a trailer for the new movie and figured it's something unique. And yes it will be fightered. Going to see if I can do a lot of custom stuff to it.
  6. Got the frame all done and a couple of clear coats on. Need to get a couple more and do some finish sanding and buffing and then it will be on to the motor.
  7. Beginning of the paint scheme. Started with the red.
  8. Engine out and all bright and shiny.
  9. Ok so didn't really get much done this winter. As of the past couple months, I dropped the motor and cleaned it all up. Stripped all wires and electrics off. Rewired some of the harness to either extend them or get rid of them. Decided on a paint scheme and sprayed away over the last week. Using the duplicolor metalcast line. Had to start with the red cuz that's all that was in stock and had to order the other colors online.
  10. Nice. Lots of good info. Gonna have to check back when I start putting the bike back together.
  11. Yes, I agree. I think I'm still going to replace all the gaskets and such since it is older bike while I am doing all the clean up in there. I need to look into insulutating my garage, too so it's not so butt ass cold in there. So to clean up the valves, I have Gunk brand carb, valve, cleaner. Would I actually have to pull them out or can I go ahead and spray them still in the motor??
  12. So this is what I found when I pulled the carbs off the bike. Obvious where the source of the stain is now. Wondering if they came loose when I crashed it, and never retightened. Valves look like crud also. Wasn't able to get a good picture of it though.
  13. Nice!! Too bad I just bought a dang ATC action cam not too long ago.
