They could care less about our safety, there is an intersection in troy where my wife had a bad car accident, a couple people have died there over the past couple years, wrecks I guess are pretty common there, I know this because the lady that lived in front of the intersection came out and talked to me and said "I've been telling the city to make this a 4 way stop for years now, there is an accident here every few months and someone died here just last year...." she goes on to tell me more about how the city does not care, etc etc.

I'm thinking about buying the fuel injection throttle body and sensors from a 09 CRF450R and modding them for my 400EX which has a 440 big bore kit in it. I would also have to buy the gas tank insert which pressurizes the fuel and figure out a way to either get a 450r tank on the quad or put the fuel pump in my tank. Then I would have to remap the ecu, and make a custom engine temp sensor since the 450r has a liquid temp sensor on the head, and the 400EX is air cooled.. Lot of work though, probably would end up being a money hole and just cheaper to sell my quad and get the new Suzuki Z400 which is fuel injected.. I saw a custom fuel injection setup on a 400EX a few years ago on the net somewhere.

the machine shop I took the head to said he might have some of the bolts, Im gonna wait and see how many he finds for me

That was the biggest idot poser I ever saw in my life! LOL! then he wrecks at the end, lol! oh yeah, and his stock bike wont do 200+, in fact it wont go over 180+, cause there is a limit build into the ecu unless you reflash, lol.

the guy that over torqued the cylinder head bolts was the kid I bought the quad from a few years ago, I just decided to tear the engine top end down this year and do the valve guides cause they were leaking. I wish I could track him down though, lol! I had to take the jug and stuff to a machine shop in town, they're getting the broken threads out for me.

they'll give me 10% off, but after tax it will still come to over $60 on bolts, which I'm sure I could find somewhere else for less than 5 bucks. I remember I few years ago on a cr125 engine I was rebuilding, I was able to replace all the bolts with higher tensile strength, for less than 5 bucks, and it was gonna cost something like $45 at honda. problem is I've never seen bolts this long at any hardware store, I hope FastenAll might be able to get most of these.

yeah I just went to www.hondapowersportsoftroy.com, and priced out all the little nuts and bolts I need to replace and it came to $66.78 I definitely need to find these somewhere else, cause I've never paid more than 50 cents for a bolt tops at a hardware store, charging almost 6 bucks for a tiny 8mm bolt is crazy in my book. Ok, the jackass that put the cylinder head cover on my 400EX before I bought it over torqued EVERY cylinder head bolt, stretched EVERY bolt, so the bolts that didn't break off, are no good, and stretched.... problem is the markup on these suckers is crazy! I've got a 440 big bore kit on my 2002 400EX, where can I buy just the piston rings? I cant find them anywhere! just the 440 piston with rings.

agreed! I just got back from walmart, and they increase prices AGAIN! from only two weeks ago! shredded cheese is $5 for an 8oz bag!! Are they on F'king crack or something!
