  1. Eaglerider now has a franchise located in Columbus, located in the Iron Pony location in Westerville.I understand it just opened May 1st.(2013) Many of the rental bikes were displayed up front by the front door including a FJR & Super Tenere along with the usual Harleys & also some Victory's & a Goldwing. All appear to be newer low mileage models. There were some rate cards there showing costs ranging from $60 to $160 depending on the model of course.
  2. I normally stay out of/dont post but I had to jump in as I use lots of tires since I am blessed (or cursed) to currently own 4 rides. Comparing the Pilot Road 3 120/70x17 & 180/55x17, IP instore price $346.98, Superstore mailorder (as of this morning) $320.98 so a whopping $26 (8%) diff on the pair, not sure what the definition of "way cheaper" is but what will Superstore do for you on the side of the road on Friday night & are they keeping 60+? local residents (fellow riders) working? Also if this had turned out to be a warranty issue then what? You might want to check your reciept on that $30 pick up fee as they (IP) normally delete it for close by local pickups in the winter months as long as the bill is paid promptly & is over $250 (my case anyway). As to the comment above regarding overhead I manage maintainance on a similar building, & the electric alone is $15K-20K a month depending on season. That brings me to another point, I only have Sundays off right now, so you can imagine my delight when I was able to get my tires installed recently on a perfect November Sunday morning @ 10am and spend my day riding. I guess it is all relative but value comes in many different forms.
  3. Love it when they only tell part of the story. His previous win was 5 years ago before Pony was involved and that was a Harley from A.D. Farrow. How do you twist that into a setup? Sounds like a sore loser to me. Anyone see the story about the guy that won his state lottery 3 times in 20 years? By the way the bike was a FZ6.
  4. I worked there for several years, Brian is correct on all points. The mail order company did move to SC in 09 and the dealership is still in Springfield. The only relationship between them is they both have the rights to use the Comp Acc name. They used to be the same company since the 60's but about 7 years ago the retail store & dealership were sold to new owners and they then became seperate entities with different owners and from that time forward basically became competitors.
  5. That date correct? 21st is Thursday on my calander, but then again most of my stuff is broken.
  6. Here is what I know; Bikes are ordered, techs in school early Dec, should be up & running before Christmas, the guys are working hard to do a quality job with this brand. Maybe a Aprilia factory test ride truck coming to town for the V4 intro. (not for sure but in the works). Parts available in December as well. Not a bad deal, an Aprilia dealer that will change your oil/tires on Sunday morning while you wait!
