  1. Not sure about all that to be honest with you, I worked @ Kaiser aluminum for a few years and remember 6061 is aircraft aluminum and kinda soft, 7075 is a sturdier composition, and 2068 & 2018 are the Wiseco / JE pistons stock we would manufacture.
  2. If you're up this way, we could use them for shipping engines and padding between the bikes we're exporting
  3. I'd be wary of ones made from 6000 series aluminum, its soft, Yana Shikis are made from 7000 series aluminum much sturdier.

  5. May be a long shot here, we have a Vance and Hines SS2R muffler that is in much better condition - no dents, some scuffs and scratches that could be sanded and polished to show off the exhaust better and sell faster. if you live here in central Ohio you could stop on by with the Akra and we could measure the ID of the pipe and see if it would fit. We also have an iridium windshield to fix that for you as well only $50 for W/S Ohio Rider price - brand new. SS2R is only $75 Ohio Rider price if you can use it.
  6. On the day I get a green fuel working on my vehicles, would I more than just a dyno sheet showing no harmful emissions to get an EPA certification? Anyone know?
  7. I've got an old GSXR tank lying around my garage with some 5-6 year old gas in it I'd need to drain. It'll need stripped and primered. I'll try to get the cap picked so I can drain it.
  8. Pretty affordable considering how much the mods that come on it would cost to buy a new Aprilia RS 250 cup bike, buy upgrades from them and have installed vs buying from them and get shipped here. I've been working on green fuels to save the 2 strokes over the past few years.
  9. I've hit the curb feelers on most of the 10 or so Busas I've owned oem or aftermarket pipes (even dump pipe). Here's the most comfortable seat I've ever ridden on - Suzuki SV650 comfy gel seat with soft padding guts and top put on my Busa pan. That stock seat started to wear me out on longer rides, this seat I may have to take to my grave lol! Has anybody put the Clear or Smoked body kit on their bikes yet? Been out for a couple years, but PU can't even get their hands on the goods.
  10. Yana-Shiki's are made in florida by moto connection, a dealer in our dealer network. If your ZX10 has 50mm forks then a machined aluminum finish on a set of these clip-ons will run you $114.95 + tax/shipping , OR price - $102.95 + tax/frt (sorry this supplier doesn't give free shipping). They have no drop angle - they're straight out from where you mount them.
  11. For what its worth Shinko tires are made in Yokohama factorys using their dyes. I've used them on my Hayabusas. They are a decent balance between grip and wear. I've never had issues with them. They have various compounds depending on your application. Price is quite nice.
  12. We bought out some MC Stuff overstock and have DMP Hollow Points @ the shop retail $59.95, OR price - $50.95. Same price whether plastic black, white, or aluminum Some you gotta cut your plastics, some no cut. Made to fit 03/04 ZX636s, 03 - 05 R6s, CBR 600 RR (03/04 & 05/06), CBR1000RR (04/05), 99 - 07 Hayabusas. Working in a salvage yard I see the benefits and detriments of using frame sliders. With the MFRs raising prices through the roof it doesn't take much to trash your bike. Frame sliders can be thought of kinda like cheap insurance - when they work properly in a parking lot experience, many times they'll be well worth the price, pushed beyond that your bike is probably totalled whether you had them or not. My $.02
  13. I'll keep you in mind for referral
  14. Last year was a good sales year for us, we grew a bit in a time and economy where other shops lost or closed. Everybody's business is appreciated directly or indirectly by referring friends and family. I hope this year will be better for all of us and I want to wish every Ohio rider the best ride of your lives this coming season, as well as a profitable and prosperous 2009 in every part of your lives. As far as parts related go, I'm reviewing some new suppliers to try to get the best prices on after market parts and accessories. Used parts I can only do so much on. Its becoming harder and harder to run a profitable salvage parts dept. Insurance companies don't give dealerships the cheap cheap buy back that they give the insured, we are put in salvage auctions with 100s of vendors and over the past few years more and more vendors allow their friends and family to bid and run the prices up. I'll continue to keep my eye on good deals for new parts - parts unlimited has some nice cruiser mirrors great oe style mirrors round and square mirrors $16.95 ea before ohio rider discounts. There's some small euro style rectangular mirrors for standard style upright bikes for only $7.95/ea before discounts. Other great deals I've bought for stock - those elbow shaped hoses for front master cylinders for only $5.35, front brake master cylinder cups I finally found an affordable one - $25 for whole cup - lid, seals, and all.
  15. I'm having fun with alternative fuels and devices. Gas burns @ rates than other fuels. Some need more advance, some less. Mad scientist kinda stuff.
  16. Or were on crack and left so fast they didn't even feel it fall off.
  17. Thanks for the lead, I'll call their tech support to make sure I get everything since there's a knob and ignition control unit.
  18. My bad, I guess you only have to wait if you want to claim the meat. Probably would've been ticketed for failure to maintain assured clear distance from a field lol!
  19. Aside from manually jumping a tooth on the chain, are there other ways to electronically adjust the timing on my 97 S10 from the dash (2.2L RWD if it helps)?
  20. Epilogue - I saw my truck in the light today - managed to get the front left corner of my 97 S10 and flipped back putting good sized dents on my door and mashed in my bed right in front of the wheel. Dangit where's the cop when you need him??
  21. It just clipped my front corner, turn signal mounts are broken, probably not much more, so I'll keep my claims down for now. Worst part was sitting there thinking, I'd be home by now if it weren't for this.
  22. I locked the brakes up fiercely trying to avoid the deer, did minor damage to driver side front. Waited an hour after one witness said he'd go to a friend who's a patrolman (15 minutes later another gentleman stopped and offered to call the staties), finally left cuz I got places to go. Meat was bad - I hit it in the neck/front/head, a van ran over the hinder portion before I could drag it to the side. RIP bambi.
