Nothing special about the starter swap. -
It always helps to specify what kind of speaker setup it is! Have you checked all the cables and made sure nothing was loose?

Sounds like it could be a blown voice-coil.

I think napa charges $35 to resurface most flywheels.

It should be the white wire on the the coil-pack harness.

I had the same problem with a sunbird. It was a bad rotor button.
