I don't have any experience with the Kymco's but my wifes DiamoTornino150 was chinese and I felt it was pretty cheap quality.' I've read lots of bad things about the chinese scoots but at the time she wanted it and there was no changing her mind. Kymco's are made in tawian I think.

Hold on, wait a minute. Are we really talking about scooters without any input from me?????? The only advice I can give is if you plan on doing any highway riding plan on getting at least a 250cc. And stay away from Chinese knockoffs, they're junk, stick with a good quality like Vespa, Yamaha, or Honda. I sometimes miss my SilverWing. I almost typed that without laughing, no I don't really miss it.
