Alright, I ordered the correct hose from the dealer. I feel a bit better about it... It was like $8.00.

I bought "bulk" hose. 7" piece. A bit thicker, harder, and tighter than the original, with the same hex/cross pattern "threads/strings" enveloped in the hose. I finally got it on... I used good ol' fashioned spit.

That's correct... Regular heater hose from Advance auto. Same size though. I'm one of those 'Don't force it' kind of guys...

I'm changing the coolant in my R6. Mainly because the outer most hose off of the water pump has a cut in it. Not all the way through so there were no leaks. I have a new hose from the parts store cut to size but I cant for the life of me slide it onto the water pump nipple because its too tight. Can I lube the hose with anything? Thanks, Chris
