    Rubber.

Like I said it's not going to happen. No matter who says what or why they say it.
  2. Nice pics. Looks like you guys had a good time once you got up there. So how boring was the ride? Did you just take 90 up or 5?

    Rubber.

Alright I am going to be in the need of a new 160/60/17 tire. Right now I have on a Road Attack. It has been a good grippy tire but hasn't lasted as long as some have claimed on their bikes. I might have 5K or a little less I have seen some say 7-10K. Whatever not the issue. I would like to get something that would last in the 7-10K range. Thinking Roadsmart, 2Ct (Doubtful), another RA, Diablo Corsa. If anyone has an honest opinion let it be known. If not whatever. I have done much research and am pretty set on these tires but will look into others. Please don't waste my time with Tomahawks and the like. It's not going to happen. Due to where I live I use the center to get to the twisties and ride the sides pretty hard. Not like some but enough to have my chicken strips below the directional arrows on my RA's. Vendors feel free to chime in if you come across this thread. If not someone let me know who to talk to and I will. If they are southern I will have to ride the bike down and take the rim off. I'm not going to bring the rim down in the car. If I go south it is not going to be in a car. Thanks for the help! Mike
  4. That was Tank that has a camera mount on his Vstrom 1K. I'm in front of him. Yes they are very nice pics. This is the set up he has. It is very nice for video or stills.
  5. That map looks very nice. Where are the pics? For us that would have to take a long weekend to make that kind of trip it would be nice to see what it's like. Glad you had a good day though. Someday I will get the pleasure of riding NKY. I have heard so many good things. If Corbin makes the ZX14 seat anything like the SV seat it isn't all it's cracked up to be. After my ride this weekend I found stopping every 100 or so miles is key for me. Stretch for 15 min. and get right back to it. It was the first time ever 400+ miles wasn't painful.
  6. Congrats! You guys make a good choice. I haven't met a person yet that didn't benefit a little from the BRC.
  7. Thanks, It's always good to capture some memories for later reminiscing.
  8. Well I was going to meet up for the Or southern ride but something told me don't do it. So I headed to the little voice. With the talk of high paced (Ok), full leathers (don't have them), a lot of riders (So so), I can go faster than you attitude (not my thing) I chose the route that keeps me out of trouble. No offense to anyone and glad you all had a good time! Anyways I meet up with two Rideohio guys for more of a touring southern Pa. kind of ride. It was very nice. I don't remember all the roads. We went through Slippery Rock, Butler, Somerset, Johnstown, Ohio Pyle, into Wv. It was a very good ride especially once we came out of Johnstown , as far as roads, but the whole ride had some very nice scenery. Route 40 in southern Pa. has some nice historical spots along the way, Ohio Pyle is a gorgous area, Johnstown is a neat old town. My favorite road of the whole trip was 88 in Wv. It was very dark, maybe 11:00pm, I have never rode it before so I took it pretty slow. The guy in the back counted deer along the road and said he say 17. I saw a couple but not that many, to busy picking lines and thinking Oh how I wish it was 1 pm. This road would be so fun! Must go back down there very soon. Anyways, I left the house at 6:45 am. and got home at 1:00 am and put on 560 miles with quite a few stops. It was nice to not rush see all that was around me, until dark. On with the pictures... A stop on the way to Buttermilk Falls- Buttermilk Falls- Leaving Buttermilk Falls- After a couple stops lunch and gas we arrived in Ohio Pyle- After we left and headed further south- Then it got Dark! There are may more pictures here- http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t132/mdnd777/Ride%20Ohio%202009/ Feel free to check them out.
  9. Looks like I will be making a ride into Pa. Saturday morning. The wife and kids and mother in law are going to a park in Erie. So I am going to head east again. Have fun and be safe.
  10. Oh and by the way Have fun and ride safe!
  11. I can completely understand. I think I missed the n't in your second for me for not reading first. Sorry for that! I hope somebody didn't throw bad rep at you because what I said. Or I'm not alone on miss reading that. Jbot thanks for pointing that out.
  12. So you want to push newb riders beyond their limit just for the satisfaction of being a better rider? And your calling people you have never met squids! If your just screwing around throw some smilies in there. :popcorn:IMO not a good way to start. Not as bad as that dude but bad enough/:D
  13. Hi Kathy. Can't make it Saturday but have fun and be safe.
  14. Don't want to say anything for sure. But I really want to come down for this.
  15. Glad your alright. I hope it doesn't get worse through out the day. Don't let it deter you. Get back in the saddle.
  16. Doing the swap. Are you going to make your SV a track bike or you just looking for some more adjust ability?
  17. There are all kinds of SV's within 300 miles of you. http://www.searchtempest.com/results.php?Region=na&statesel=&citysel=&statecodes=&citycodes=&catname=all+sale%2Fwanted&citySelect=zip&maxDist=300&zip=45385&showeb=1&category=8&subcat1=ccc&subcat2=eee&subcat3=ggg&subcat4=hhh&subcat5=jjj&subcat6=ppp&subcat7=res&subcat8=sss&subcat9=bbb&minAsk4=min&maxAsk4=max&bedrooms=&minAsk6=min&maxAsk6=max&minAsk8=min&maxAsk8=max&doa=&search_string=sv650&keytype=all&search_string_neg=
  18. The least bikes I have ever seen there on one of the 5 bike nights I have been there. I kind of like it that way. The 7 of us got there parked right by the front door. Walked inside were seated immediately with options of where. We all got our food quick enough and sat and B.S.ed. Good conversations about all kinds of stuff. Nobody had any hang ups, except for myself of course. After we ate we went outside walked around looked at the 100 or so bikes that were there, B.S.ed some more and went our separate ways. It was very pleasant and a good time.
  19. We are missing Vulcan rider's and the Honda Night Hawk ( Sorry I forgot your name and just about everyone elses) That's all of them. I also put them in my Ohioriders photo gallery.
