Any particulars about the services in particular do you prefer to have just the forks/shock or is delivering the whole bike for the fork/shock work okay? If so I'm guessing there's a bit more cost to remove and install back on bike. Prices for that?

Trying to get an idea of the best way get the work done and not cause any headaches.

I can do either way. To measure and set up the sag, I would need the bike, but otherwise I can get it close. R&R forks is $60, R&R shock is $60.

I'm sure it's possible, but honestly, you should put the money towards a better shock. I don't think that you'd be satisfied with the results of reworking that shock.

Thanks for the info Reuben. I read through the packages and not sure what I think I'll need. I don't intend for the 1000 to end up as a full time track bike so I'm all ears knowing you have the insight on what would be best. If you have any suggestions, let's thow'em out there.

You can email me through my web site and I'll work up a couple of options for you on your particular model with prices. The main things are how much performance increase do you want and what is the budget you have for suspension? Also what is the rider weight? The 2007-08 GSXR1000 comes with decent springs for a typical rider's weight. If you are under 150lbs. or over 190lbs. you should perhaps go with different spring rates. STT-Brian is right about the rear shock, you can't beat the performance of a Penske or Ohlins, but I do have a reworked rear shock that is much better than stock. Depending on the machine's mileage, I'd at least get the forks and shock freshened.

I def. need my forks serviced. Starting to show signs of seals leaking. Can you throw me some pricing on servicing them as well as possibly upgrading some internals for street/track duty (this year was mostly track duty but it is my street bike).

he is degreeing the cams witch by moving the lobe centers around u can move tq and house power around..... like my bike my numbers are 107/108 witch brings my tq in sooner witch is better for drag racing with im guessing he is road racing witch less tq more hp would be his ticket

True. The main thing that I'm trying to accomplish is to make sure that the pistons and valves aren't going to meet at high RPM's. With the way that these superstock engines are modified, we see compression ratios go from stock to as high as 15:1! Piston to valve clearances are much more vital than just tuning with cam numbers. Some of the 600's are so tight that you just have to live with whatever lobe center numbers you end up with to insure at least minimum piston to valve.
