  1. Thanks bowdog, we just recently started dirt riding again, so the only place we've been so far is down in Senacaville, OH.  Our friends have a permanent campsite down at Buffalo Hills Resort and they have over 300 acres of riding trails in the campground. It isn't anything too crazy but we have a lot of fun and there's a bunch of trails that our 9 yr. old son can maneuver nicely on with his new side by side.  One day I hope to get down to Hatfield/McCoy to ride.

  2. I live in the Kent area too and I've got a guy that's been tinting all my vehicles the last few years.  He does an awesome job and he's very reasonably priced.  I have his business card at home, I'll post his info for you tonight.  He's mobile too, he does work for a lot of the car dealerships.  Summit Sound does good work, but their prices are ridiculous. They wanted $325 to tint my 4 door vehicle, I got it done for a fraction of that.

  3. I have a '13 Kia Optima SXL and it's been a great car so far. Absolutely no problems and I'm getting very good mileage out of the 2.0L turbo. It's been one of my most favorite vehicles and I'll probably lease another one when this goes back. My wife has a '12 Mercedes c300 and I'll drive my Optima over her car any day of the week.

  4. Check out the HiSense Sero 7 pro.  It's an android tablet, get all your apps from the google play store.  I bought one for our 7 yr. old son and he plays with it everyday.  He's got it loaded with apps, music that I downloaded for him and a bunch of movies on the micro SD card.   Its a nice little tablet, we haven't had a single issue with it.  Walmart sells it for $129 and for an extra $15 you can get the extended warranty that covers full replacement if anything happens to it (including a broken screen from drops).

  5. Or go across the street and get a GOOD truck! :)

I didn't realize that any of the Hill's were still involved with the dealership. I know a couple guys that work in the shop, and yes, I work at the Chevy dealership across the road.

Yep, Paul's still there. I remember when his parents owned it and it used to be Dick Hill Ford, ahh the memories. :) It's a good 2 hour drive from here, but it's where we have bought most of our Ford vehicles. He still lives in the house back behind the dealership too.

  6. Try Coughlin Ford in Johnstown. Ask for Paul Hill and tell him Tony Milicia sent you. He's a long time family friend and used to own the dealership but sold it and became sales manager. I bought my '12 Eco from him last summer. I love my truck, I actually prefer driving it over the Mustang usually.

  7. I just ordered a new ecoboost super crew fx4, can't wait to get it. :D

That dealer in Canfield is Fairway Ford. Yes, they do advertise rediculously low prices on their trucks, BUT, not everyone will qualify for the advertised price. There are some rebates out there that aren't available to everyone and another one requires a trade in. That was the gotcha for me. Sure, they were going to sell me their $50k F150 for $38k, but they wanted to rape me on my 2011 Explorer on trade ($30k).

The dealer I bought from (Coughlin Ford) sold me the truck at invoice, threw in $500 of his holdback, plus I get $4250 in rebates. The real deal closer was that he gave me $35k for my Explorer.

  8. I have this trailer http://www.tractorsupply.com/carry-on-trailer-reg-5-ft-x-8-ft-wood-floor-trailer-2-000-lb-capacity-1012438#product_tabs

I have the chocks mounted maybe 6-8 inches away from the front of the trailer and I haul 2 bikes with them like that. I am using a Kia Sorento which is not at all made to tow anything. This past trackday I noticed it was sagging more than usual and the trailer was actually at a downward angle at the tongue.

So I figured I have way too much tongue weight. My question is what is the best way to get the proper tongue weight? I want to keep as much weight off my car as possible since it isn't made for towing. I did the math and I am hauling a total of around 950lbs. WITHOUT the trailer weight included. TSC doesn't have the trailer weight on the website, so does anyone happen to know how much the trailer actually weighs? If so, anyone have any ideas on proper tongue weight for my setup?

    Thanks for any help

Does your Kia have the v6 or 4 cyl. engine in it? If it's the V6, you should be good for pulling up to 3500 lbs., the 4cyl. is rated to pull 1650lbs. If you can lift up the tongue of your trailer, you should be fine on tongue weight for the Kia. I can't imagine its much more than 200lbs. If the trailer tongue is at a downward angle, you may need a different draw-bar for your hitch to bring it up level.

  9. I Pushed left(foward, away from.me )on my right bar with my right hand and my bike went left(not right) as I figured it would cuz the wheel.was pointing left. Im not trying to BS around with the counter steering as im TRYING to understand it. Was this done correctly or not? If it wasnt done correct(dont think it was) then im back to square 1 on counter steering :(

How fast were you going? There is a minimum speed to be achieved before counter-steering actually takes effect. If you're doing 10mph around a parking lot, no, you won't be counter-steering. When you're going that slow, sure, when your wheel goes left you're going to turn left...

Get up to speed, say around 35 mph and try turning your wheel left a bit (just a little bit now) and see where the bike wants to go. (ps... it's not going to turn left....)

  10. Did you try Dollar rental cars? They're the rental agency that uses mostly Chrysler / Jeep products.

Edit: Nevermind, it looks like their Charleston location is renting Kia Sportages in place of the Jeep Wrangler.
