Early summer, I was driving North on 675, took the 48 exit... I was slowing from 50 (with a good lean angle) when I realized they had covered the ramp with pebbles to be resurfaced. I got the bike upright and applied both brakes knowing I wouldn't be able to stop before the huge ditch wothout skidding...so i opted to skid...the bike lowsided and I gracefully dismounted, sliding through the grass relying on my gear to do its job. In the end I was fine, the bike was flooded so it took approx 20 min to start. I rode home after that. At first Progressive wanted to total the bike(all cosmetic:mad:). I worked them over, and got enough to replace everyhting to new spec or better and full replacement cost for all my gear(even the helmet that never touched pavement). So...laying it down is never fun, but I had a decent outcome and no injuries:)
