  1. Here's your re-cap... From another thread.. http://www.theobamaforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38
  2. Gay day at Kings Island... You think thats somethin to joke about. I had to work that day. It's a whole different world when you're the minority.... Anyhow, I'm new here myself. Never did introduce myself, so figured maybe I should say hi here. And I just came round cause I finally was able to fork up some dough for a bike.... No point in hangin round a place like this hopes and no ride. That'd make me an Obama supporter wouldn't it?

    Skyline Fan?

Skyline wins. Goldstar takes second... That being said, skyline is amazing, but I have a hard time ponying up that price very often...
  4. Yup. It looks like its bout done. They've been workin weekends, probably to have it open by spring...
  5. so, explain to me how the sun was shining and y'all were on here talkin bout riding??
  6. I've worked on my share of VWs, and well they're the exact same thing. They're a bitch to work on, and expensive. No one but the dealer wants to touch them, and you can imagine what they charge. That car has a good 200K left in her, but I'd be in this market you can find a better deal...
  7. Yeah but I think (or at least hope) that the new bankrupcy laws don't let you out of your debts. It just closes all your accounts and sets up on small payment plan. but you do still have to pay at least most of everything back. But. I've never done it, so thats just my take of what I've heard from others....
  8. Hell as long as the roads are dry i'm riding. People look at me like i'm nuts when I pass them bundled all up, but I'm on to of a bike so the hell with them. why don't y'all with riding jitters get a quad and throw some snow? there's just as much adrenalin strattling a good quad as there is a bike...
  9. Jermattak, what kinda bike you got? I live on blue rock, I'm sure i've passed you a time or two. Down river road and out and about that way is where i've spent most my time....
  10. done been out. Prolly gonna be out all day tomorrow. Just make sure to leave time in the budget for a cleaning when you get home..
  11. I've done lots of work on my 78 yamaha. Found its well worth it to replace lots of the bolts with allen screws before this becomes a problem. Also found an impact drive breaks things loose very easily, and is all but a most for a few things on that bike. Now I don't think I could work on anything without it. You put it in and smack it, and it puts downward preasure and turning preasure at the same time. Works wonderfully. Can tighten and losen.
  12. I got my hands on a whole case of sparks once. 24-16oz with 6.5% plus caffeine. My neighbor and I thought it'd be a good idea to try and drink the whole thing, figured with all the caffeine we'd be able to stay up all night. We got all bout 4 or 5 downed. Had acid reflux for two months...
  13. for $300 I'd have a hard time turning it down. I just got an 89 zx600 with the intent of either a quick fix and something to ride, or double it in parts. I'd be you could have it running for less than a hundred or two if you like it enough.
  14. No spark is usualy a lot easier and cheaper to fix than no compression. First things first. Check all fuses. Thats your most likely suspect. If the fuses are all good, then put new plugs in. Still no luck, find a manual or some way of getting a wire diagram. That age bike should be easy to find parts really cheap on ebay. The ignition coil or controller are bout the only things left to be bad.
