Bogs around 1,500-3,000. Higher it is usually ok. So I get to a cool downtown spot, go to show off the sound, and then it bogs out and almost stalls and I look like tool of the month. I did check the fuse and that was as far as I got. I'll check for cross wiring. I have to check the res. It doesn't seem to leak unless it's on, so good idea with the hoses!

You guys are pretty damn good. Thanks for all the advice. Not sure which side on the leak. It collects on the middle of the two side fairings. I'll take another look though tonight. Sounds like Brian is the go to on this. I have the slip on back on and the PC is just sitting in the bike unplugged. I'll have to debate going back in there again. Thanks guys!

I think the map was correct. Regardless, it bogs without it. If anyone is up for some extra coin, please let me know. Thanks for all the feedback!

I put an aftermarket slip-on on. I remember leaving a gas station one day and all of the sudden, the bogging started. I put the PC on much later, thinking it would fix the richness. Didn't do anything. I took off the slip on and it was still bogging. It just seems like the more I'm in there, the more I screw up. I desperately want to pay someone to do it and even watch the work if possible.

I have had some issues with my bike and really need to take it to someone who knows what they are doing and aren't just going to throw parts at a problem. I am having the following problems and am doing more damage than not working on them: 1. Engine bogging in 1st/2nd gears when gets above 210 degrees or so. Dealer said to try throttle body, but I would have to get the work done and they couldn't guarantee it being fixed. 2. Turn signal not working. I put a custom signal on and now it's not working. 3. There seems to be some radiator fluid leaking when I ride. Can't determine the source. 4. I have a Power Commander that I put on, but the dealership unplugged because they said it wasn't doing anything positive. I'm debating just putting a cover on it and giving up. It has been sad to watch these problems occur and not have the skill to fix them. If anyone is skilled and has some free time this remaining winter, I'd love to chat. Please help! :confused: Sean

Haven't gotten it tuned or planned on it, but I probably should once everything is in place, assuming I stop the original bogging issue. I will check it out.

Thanks, don't worry about it for now. I have the instructions and they look pretty clear. All I have left is the tank and whatever I find under there. Hopefully that's it.

"My 600rr was a local whore and was beat to shit but ran like butter". Now that's funny! ha ha ha! Yeah, it seemed like it was running fine. Then I went to the gas station (shitty marathon) and put a gallon in. It immediately started the bogging. So I took out the fuel, put sunoco in it and ran some of that fuel cleaner crap. Runs fine for the first 5 minutes, then first gear starts to bog in lower rpms. Bogs when they are high too in like 3rd/4th gears. Then she cools and runs fine again for a few minutes.

Thanks Bad. I hope it's easy, but my fear is that my bogging problem won't be resolved and it could be plugs or something else that I can't troubleshoot. It's been 2 weeks without riding and if I don't get this fixed, I'm going to have to take it in and they will take it in the back, probably tighten a screw, and charge me hundreds. I just want to resolve the issue once and for all and learn from it. If all fails, your steps seem exactly right. Thanks!

Ok, so I recently posted that I was having some issues with my Leo Vince SBK slip on and I ordered a Dyno Power Commander III to try to help with fuel control issues. I was told by Leo Vince that I shouldn't need one, but it is apparent that either a plug is jacked up or I have to install this. Since I am already taking things apart, I am going to check the plugs and install the Power Commander. I already have the bike apart, except for the tank. My goal is to learn to do this, but to do it correctly and to be able to ride once the job is completed. I am confident I can get the job accomplished, but I don't want to make this problem any worse. Would anyone that has done this before be willing to work with me to complete this task this weekend for $100? I don't just want to hand it off to be completed. I want to be part of finishing what I started without screwing it up any further. It is on a 2006 CBR600RR. Let me know if anyone is interested!

That makes sense. No flashes. I am actually just trying to diagnos another post I made about my Leo Vince slip on I just put on. I am trying to determine if the "bogging" I'm feeling has to do with bad gas (it started after I put a gallon of Marathon 93 in to top it off) or if it is the slip on. If it's bad gas, I am thinking of looking for the fuel filter. I did the fuel cleaner stuff after I siphoned the tank and put all Sunoco 93 in. I just finished pulling off the slip on and applying a high temp silicone. I'm going to test it tonight to see if it could have been that. Long shot, but worth a try. If that doesn't work, back to looking for the fuel filter.

Does anyone know where I can find a useful resource to help me locate the fuel filter on a 2006 CBR600RR? Before you say the service manual, I downloaded it. No mention of fuel filter. The Internet is absolutely useless on this one. I am trying to clean it after recent issues with bad gas. I hope I can look at this before taking it to the shop to inspect plugs. I really don't think I can get in and find those without screwing something up. I would appreciate any help here!

I called Leo and they said I shouldn't have to worry about servo or anything else. I wonder if it's a fuel issue that was a coincidance. I am not putting some silicon (high temp) where the slip on meets the stock exhaust. Maybe there are issues there.

I'm not sure about the O2 sensor. I think it does. I will try the cleaner next and pray for the best. I don't have the ()()'s to go after the plugs myself. I'm all for a little wrenching, but that may be over my head and do more damage than good. Thanks guys!

I siphoned most of the gas out last night and put in a couple gallons of Sunoco. Unfortunately, same thing. I am desperate to get this fixed, as the weather in Ohio only provides limited enjoyable riding. I wonder if it could be the plugs or if I need to continue to try to move the new fuel throughout the bike. This is such a nube question, but are there other adjustments that need to be made when adding a slip on? I know the idle was mentioned in this thread which I did play with. I am unsure what an exhaust servo block plate is, but I didn't see anything stand out with the contents I received.

Didn't adjust idle. 16K miles. I miss Sunoco. The bike seems to like that the best, then Shell. Marathon is the best in my hood, but I know of a Sunoco not too far away. it might be worth draining it and picking up Sunoco.

No other performance mods and didn't mess with the exhaust servo. Well, if I did, I wouldn't have known it.

One thing that is weird about the slip on is that where it connects, there is nothing to seal it. It slides in and there is a metal ring you fasten. We thought it was weird that we had to remove the seal and then they didn't supply one. It wouldn't fit if we had one. I don't know if that could cause an issue. The last thing I want to do is spend 6 hours working on this thing and have to take it to the shop to get reworked and have them tell me some other BS is wrong.
