I am in for anything to fix this shit. I am also Law enforcement in the state of Ohio, but I have seen to many motorcycles over the years get nailed by cars, trucks and whatever else my come in front of them... and typically the people responsible get little or no criminal sentencing compared to non vehicular incidents with the same outcomes...If you are driving drunk and you kill someone whether its on a bike or pulling the trigger its the same end result.. someone is dead and you are responsible.. the punishment needs to fit the crime.. but I guess as motorcylists we are less human because we were on the road and it was an accident...

anyone see who got hit tonight on elida road in Lima?? I seen a full size truck and what remained of a Harley ( Ithink) at the intersection of american ave. and Elida road. who ever it was I hope like hell they were okay.. the bike was FUBAR.. I recognized the front wheel as harley is the only clue to what kind of bike it used to be.. EMS was gone and fire Police were cleaning up when i went by!! this time of year sucks for motorcyclists..

spring sucks.. I have my bike apart waiting to get the brakes fixed and my charging issue take care of... brakes are easy just replace the rear pads or not use them, for that matter if I dont let it stall I can ride with the charging issue.. LOL @5000 rpm only putting out 11.8 volts and it dies when I shut it off!!! but I let it sit for a few hours and its fine!!!! ...damn I hate bikes(especially the one who have been riding by me all day when I am in my truck)

I am sure you all have seen my post about the memorial ride... but how in the fuck if there is actually someone higher than me up above can shit like this happen.. you take every peice of shit in this world and they live forever wreaking havok on us all.. then you get the kindest most giving person around and they are taken from you at a young age... give me a fucking break I mean what more can someone want than supporting your family loving life and your kids, and giving everything to the community ... I know the old saying life isnt fair and then the chich'e only the good die young but fuck that .. it doesnt make any damn sense... As a cop and a paramedic I see people die all the time, but come on if there actually was a god this man would be sitting here right now drinkin a beer and putting his kids to bed, what kind of fucked up world is this..... I am sorry and I dont expect responses so lock this if you want... I just need to vent and who better to vent to than my computer!!!!!

I am thinking there will be enough help and donations to get her for the first few months, so I was thinking of sometime in may or june to do the ride, I just want to be able to do it right and get the biggest turn out I can..

Okay here is the scoop.. I have never done anything like this, but I am looking for some insight or help from someone who has. A close friend of mine at the age of 39 just recently passed away from a stroke. He was an avid rider, the last conversation him and I had 2 days before hehad his stroke was that my wife and IJim and his wife, and a few other couples were planning a groupe ride. I know that they were not very finanicially well off but he loved his family and he loved riding, Tonight after leaving the viewing I was talking to a mutual friend and we both thought trying to put together a memorial ride might be a good thing. I have no idea how to or what to do to get something like this going but I feel it would be something he would have done for anyone else and also the right thing to do. So any one who has ever had any part in arranging one of these, or would be intersted in riding please let me know, I would also like to arrange for his bike to be ridden in it. he has family that rides and would be the ultimate last ride for it!! so I may be in the wrong area of the forum but, I am a newb to the site but I can see that through out the state it seems to be a pretty tight knit group.. so help me make this happen thanks Chuck here is my phone number for any input or questions 419-979-8826 thanks Chuck R.I.P Jim Hickman 2007 HD883 gone but never forgotten

Just an update I put in the 220 ohm 1/8 watt resistors. seemed to do the trick, I may try it with the 330's but not sure if I feel like unwiring it all now that it is back together.. Thanks 12oclocker!!!!

hey is there any one on here from the Lima area that is good with electrical systems on bikes who works for beer?? I cannot seem to track down what is killing my battery and cant shell out the bucks to the Dealer right now!!!!

the cycle company (columbus) how many of you guys have bought a bike through these guys? I bought my 929 from them. I cannot really complain a bit they held a bike for 4 months for me while I was still overseas, the price on the bike was pretty decent and overall it seems like a decent shop, just make sure you have a chance to check out the bike good before you actually buy it. they are sold as is no warranty which again I am not complaining because of the bike being a 2001. unfortunately I couldnt really check it out in the middle of the snowstorm I picked it up in and when the weather finally broke, I had rode for maybe 15 minutes and the charging system is not working, I have yet to get it narrowed down to the stator or R/R , the battery appears new and tests fine.. there are a few other small issues with the bike I have found that a good service before sale would have taken care of. ie: rear brake pads shot, and the fender elimator wiring not hooked up properly. I have talked to the guy at the shop and told him about the charging issue and was offered the parts at his cost, which really isnt any better than I can get them for online. I am kinda pissy because I shouldnt have mechanical issues in the first 10 miles of riding, on a bike that was supposed to be checked out and sold by a dealer, but at the same time it is just as much my fault for not looking it over better when i bought it... not sure if my ramblings make a lot of sense

alright I rewired it today, I used the converter for the brake and turns and then used regular running light wiring for the tails.. it improved it but I still think the running lights are too bright so I am going to put a couple resistors in and see if I can get it where I want it... with any luck by the end of the day and a 6 pack later it will be good...

I have used them before, thats why I keep using them . I think this one was just a fluke if I had to guess, I figure I will try them again and see what happens. and Yes I prefer UPS over fed ex any day!! but I will have to check out these guys as well

anyone have any experience dealing with www.motosport.com this has been the order from hell!! I have ordered in the past, price good, shipping good but damn this time around they are killing me, I ordered an Icon mainframe helmet and was supposed to have had it on the 9th, it was on the fed ex truck ready to be dropped at my house and somehow got turned around as a return to shipper so they were supposed to overnight it back to me when they got it, which was 2 days ago. I called today and they say well it will not be there until monday, I am not the best mathmetician in the world but the 11th - the 16th is more than it takes for an overnight delivery. then there is the Jacket I ordered the A* jacket got overcharged by 110.00 took them about 5 days to fix that, and then the jacket didnt fit so I switched it out with an icon motorhead, so hopefully it comes in a reasonable amount of time.. all in all like I said product, selection, prices good, but damn this is about the most frustrating order I have ever dealt with....

alright well I solved my fit issue with the A* jacket, I exchanged it for an Icon Motorhead, which seems to be a lot more relaxed fit in the shoulders and I can be a bit more comfortable and protected at the same time...

I will recheck my grounds tomorrow, and see if that makes a difference. it is an 1157 LED bulb in the rear , before I hooked the converter up when I would use the turns they would light up on all the bulbs in the light and the running would use only the middle 4, .. weird.. oh well if I didnt have issues I would just be bored!!!!

the only adjustment on it is the waist , I am considering sending it back and getting one size larger, I am gonna check with cycle sports over in cridersville I think they have that jacket one size larger but in a different color,

well i have to go with the horsepower then.. what size resistor would be the way to gofor the turns and the running lights? and my brake and running lights are wired separately
