Up in the air about what? The sizes, brand, material or store to buy it from? I always go 520 chain, I usually go -1f/+1 rear so I can keep my rear wheel in about same location as stock but going with stock front and +2 rear is a great in between setup. 520 chain with alum. sprockets won't last as long but I don't do many miles in a year so it isn't a issue for me. I have used AFAM, Renthal, Sprocket Specialist and now Driven. AFAM is excellent quality but the color is a bit ruff looking, Renthal is just as good and comes in a goldish bronze color a bit nicer than AFAM's color, SS comes in colors but the last set I bought the rear sprocket was just a tad out of round which created a tight spot in my chain so I went with Driven in black this time. Driven comes in different colors. All sprockets mentioned come in hard anodized aluminum, I don't believe Vortex is hard anodized so I never tried them. Stealth comes with aluminum center and steel teeth. Good chains are DID ERV3, GBRK520GXW (gold or silver), EK MVXZ (comes in colors). Motomummy has best prices..

Murry's Auto Parts store use to sell it.. years ago. Haven't been there in a while.

I had a R6 and went with 520 conversion D.I.D. ERV3 chain. Renthals -1f / +1 rear sprockets and it was a excellent setup. Speedo healer is needed since changing gearing will throw it off up %15 or so. I did the same for my R1 but went with Driven sprockets and RK GB520GXW chain this time. Shipped to my door for $185 from motomummy. They give $5 discount at checkout and free shipping, plus I messed up the rivet link and they sent a new one free as other stores charge $15 for it. http://www.motomummy.com/store/home.php?cat=270

I would like to check out the dealer in Willoughby sometime. Never been there.

Man.. I need to check here more and get out on one of these rides. I can do a couple hours but can't leave for the day. I just need a little notice so I can plan it. Maybe next weekend?
-
Looks like a great ride. I remember when I use to do 300-400 miles in a day but I just don't think I can leave for the day like that anymore. I can only do 1-2 hr rides now...

I am in Concord, Lake County. The hard part is finding the time to ride. lol..

I hope I can meet up with you guys soon. I finally got a bike a few weeks ago, I bought a 02' R1. I have been cleaning it up and don't have the title transfered yet because I bought it in PA and it needed a inspection. It should have plates next week.
-
Both of those bikes are definetly some of my favorites I'd like to own. I had a R6 and loved it, the RC just has awesome character. Cut me a deal and I'll buy one.

I am now watching a race two full weeks after the race actually took place. lol.. what a joke. I'm pissed.
-
Ya I agree Daytona was a mess.
-
What is the deal on this? I am still learning all the new rules?

I have been following AMA Superbike for as long as I can remember and I'll admit the last 5 years have been a bit of a joke competition wise. I know they have made a bunch of changes with new ownership but what is going on? I thought I missed Daytona Superbike until it aired on March 21st at 11:00p.m. and 3:00a.m. lol.. a week late! Now I am looking for Fontana on Speed and don't see it listed until March 28th a week late. I already know who won the race! I don't watch a football game a week after I know who won. This is how they think they are making changes for the better. What is going on?

WSB is some of the best racing. It would be better if Bayliss was out there though. I hope Spies can keep it up. He is great at keeping the same pace the entire race while Haga always seems to loose a little due to tires. I don't like Biaggi, never have.

I thought I have been to every bike dealer in NE Ohio.. I guess I'll have to check this one out. When did it open?
-
Welcome! I must live with in minutes of you.

My ebay deal fell through. I was hoping the guy was honest in his discription but I just couldn't hand over the cash after seeing it. Huge disappointment. Had signs of being down after he said it wasn't. Over all really rough looking. You would think if you did burnouts you would clean the rubber from the fairings before you sell it. I mean even the fender started to melt from all the rubber on it.

I also have a Haro Master hanging in my garage! I live in Concord as I posted in the intro section. I am supposed to pick up a 03' R6 tomorrow. I had a 04' a few years ago and loved it so I couldn't resist. I hope to hook up with all you this year. I remember I use to ride down south starting somewhere around RT. 800 and spend all day down there but I just don't have the time to do that anymore. Plus someone always ended up in the weeds.. Hopefully I can tag along on some of those local rides with you guys. It's great to see some east siders because every riding buddy I had has sold there bike.
-
Sounds like some good riding. If I get a bike we should meet up.

I'm in Concord. I like to hit twisties mostly but with kids and limited time I might try to take it easy and just enjoy getting out with nothing crazy. Maybe even ride to work sometimes. What about you?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Here is what I am interested in, 03' up R6, 600RR, ZX6R, 00' up GSXR 750 or 929RR. The main reason is I think they can be found for around $4k. I found a few at that price (even lower) a few months back but couldn't pull the trigger. Now it seams prices are creaping back up already. I had a 04' R6 and loved it.
