  1. Oh yeah. Just an observance to share with everyone from todays ride.

On the way home I saw a custom chopper with a monster rear wheel wadded up in a ditch. Not sure what happened because the carnage was on a straight road with no intersections. What I saw was the guy was pretty bloody from road rash as the EMT had him strapped to the stretcher. I hope he was cool enough to at least have a helmet on. Hope the guy is alright. Even with a straight line "show bike" you need to wear at least a riding jacket and helmet at the minimum. I cringe every time I see someone riding with a sleeveless shirt and no helmet.

  2. Alright, I will meet you at the gas station on the South side 86 (Marathon?) and ride out to 7 on River road to 528 to 307 to 7. Then if Connerot wants to meet up we can group together some where on route 7. Ideas?

There are 2 gas stations Marathon is closed and I believe Clark is right across the street that is where I'll fuel up and meet ya at 11:30. If something comes up I call.

  3. Alright after brousing Google Maps and this web site http://www.motorcycleroads.us/states/pa.html

I think I want to go East. I still want to make another trip to Kinzua Dam like I did last year. I think today is going to be more of exploring Western Pa. Route 27 looks like something to give a shot. I have been down most of 62 and it was fun but I want to see if I can find some road that are good off the beaten path.

    How this sound?

Sounds good. Looks like it is doable and still be able to get back by 4:30ish.

  4. Anywhere particular you want to ride?

We could meet up at the park on Vrooman and head out 86. Either just wander south or wander around this way all day. I would even be willing to shoot east and wander around in Pa.

I'm looking at some roads right now. Whats your thoughts?

Nowhere particular. I'm game for anything. Just moved to this area about 6 months so I'm not too familiar. I live off of 86. Are you familiar with five corners(Capps, Gas station, subway). We could meet at that gas station at 11:30. If my in-laws get here at 11 I could actually be there by 11:15 but sometimes they get here a few minutes late.

  5. Depending if conn-e-rot chimes in I don't really know what time I'm heading out. I can wait till 11:00 or 11:30. How far do you want to ride?

What time do you need to be back?

If i'm back by 3:30 or 4 that should be fine. I could always break off early if I had to.

  6. Saturdays weather looks no good. Sunday I will be out as long as it's not raining. I might be meeting up with some people but everything is in the air right now. I will let ya'll know.

The little one is feeling fine so I should be out all weekend. I will be headed out around 10-10:30 today.

I should be out today after 11:00. Assuming the in-laws get here on time to watch the little munchkin.

Which way you headed i'm off the Vrooman exit. I had no exact plans either. Just glad to get out on the bike.

  7. If the weather looks ok, I'm up for Saturday morning.

If it shapes up I would like to go. How's that speed triple? That is a pretty sweet ride. I think you are the guy that is friends with Lehman and Warner. I went to school with those guys.

  8. check with madmax33 he is the man.....

I rode with him last week and he gave me the tour. It was a good time. Yeah I'm game for anything although it looks like the weather changed from last night. I wish they could nail that sh!t down better instead of actually waiting for the exact day and say oh yeah it will be partly cloudy today. I guess we'll see if the forecast changes again by tomorrow.

  9. Anyone willing to head up a ride south of Canton? I'm a good follower. Don't know the area to well. High of 62 for Saturday. Perfect for a full leather ride. Last weekend was bearable at 83F but cooler is always better.

  10. 10 in the morning at Dairy Queer, Saturday morning in Bolivar is where I am going to be...

Thanks for the tour. The ride was a blast. The roads seemed in great condition except for just very few spots on 164. For being such a nice day our flow was hardly ever interrupted by cagers. Look forward to being able to make it to another ride soon.

  11. Ha, I know right where you're talking about man. Yes, if you are not familiar with that turn, it may bite you in the arse. No worries though, if my chicken-shit ass can take the turn at a decent speed on my big, bulky liter-bike, anyone can. It's too bad Atwood doesn't last too long but it's fun for awhile. I know Atwood rather well and Rt.164 is good up to a point, before the gravel spots, which I have memorized so we can hit that safely as well, which will take us to 172 eventually, leading us to Rt.9. Now that is pretty fun. It's even worth backtracking once or twice. So perhaps I should be at Dairy Queen, the one off 77S, which is the Bolivar/212 Exit at 10:00a.m., then departing perhaps at 10:15. Does that sound reasonable?

Sounds good to me. Looking forward to it. My skill level is probably no where near you but I always ride my own ride. Look forward to meeting some new faces and burning some fuel.

  12. Quoted MadMax33

"My buddy is getting married so I can't be out all day yet a good 4hrs worth of twisty riding will satisfy my appetite. Perhaps an earlier start? Let's talk about it..."

I'm game for just about anything. Set a time and place and see who is able to make it.

  13. Looks like last weekends ride south of Canton was a success. I was unable to make it but am game for Saturday. Looks like MadMax33 was excited by this upcoming weekends ride is that still true for the south canton area? Is anything in the works? I'll be coming from "Jbot land"(Painesville) so I have a little ride down to Bolivar. Hope something gets started I would like to come down and ride.
