I have switched bikes several times over the last several years, usually putting 10-20k miles on them, then trading for something else. My Garmin 660 and Touratech mount have made the switch each time requiring little more than hooking up the power lead. Although a bigger investment, the motorcycle specific stuff gets used over and over again, and I feel that it has been worth the initial investment and has stood up well to weather, vibration and my constant tinkering. Just wanted to offer an alternative view point.

I rode a little over a hundred miles today. SR79, 541, and SR60. A few others. Saw two other sport bikes on Creamery Rd near Zanesville. It was great out this afternoon.

I just recently signed on myself. I'm located in Heath/Newark also.

That was fast. I looked back to see if my post took and you had already responded. Thanks. I have a camera but really wouldn't know where to start when it comes to posting pictures. Can it be done as an attachment? At any rate it is a relatively stock, Grn/blk '08 ZX10r.

I have been riding around Ohio since 1977. Started back then on a kick-start only Suzuki GS400. Paid $995 out the door. Can't do that anymore! I just returned to the sportbike genre after a couple of years on a sport touring bike. Depending on how my wrists do I may end up converting my new zx10r into a sport tourer, with ape hangers and hard bags. Anyway, I won't be posting much since I'm shy but I'll be reading everything and watching out for interesting and useful tips.
