  1. I had the PRK procedure done 10 years ago. My vision is still fantastic. Lasik  is a lot less painful and your vision is improved the minute you're off the  table but PRK vision correction appears to last longer and can give you better night vision. Or at least that was the case in 2003.

  2. Goldwing for long rides with wife.

My wife is as exited if not more excited than I am.

I thought they were old retired couples bikes until I followed an 1800 through the twisties in Southern Ohio. They are fast and very capable on the curvy roads. Plus there is music, a place for my beer and my wife can massage my shoulders.

  3. I have to admit, the dude nailed it:

'The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here." Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.'

And he was able to say it with a straight face.......Mr. Pot meet Mr. Kettle.

  4. I was in the Navy during the Carter years and he was no friend of the military. Odd for an ex Naval Officer.

I don't remember him as having any strong or directed agenda, he was just inept at dealing with the issues his administration faced. The double digit inflation, the Iran crisis, unemployment, he and his cabinet were just too stupid to deal with the problems in the country.

He did get Egypt and Israel to sit down and hammer out a peace treaty. I was stationed at Annapolis at the time and several of us drove down to watch the signing.

    That was quite an accomplishment.

Our current president is a very poor leader and his administration appears bent on dividing the country rather than actually addressing our real problems.

  5. My Strom hauls my fat ass around very well. They can be quite comfortable once you put a nice seat on them. For 2-up I find the bike a bit top heavy, as she is a big tall girl, But the wife and I have ridden 80 to 100 miles on occasion with only minimal complaints from the misses.
