  1. I've never actually tested it, but the ZR-7 forums say that my bike will beat a ZX6 and ZX7 off the line, but around 80mph, my bike falls behind (only 2 valves/cyl). Speed isnt everything, which is why I own this bike, and not a liter bike. Im about 5'10, so 135 means im a skinny guy. The stock seat is a little high, so I cut out the hard stock foam and put in some nice cushion seat foam from hobby lobby. Made the ride much more comfortable, and made me sink into the seat lower, so I felt more nimble on the bike. I also got little bit more drag bars ish so I dont have to sit straight up. Still is a very comfortable ride, and can go as fast as my little frame needs to go. (I used to have an 11sec 70 Mustang)
  2. I'll be riding tomorrow... until it rains. We didnt get the promised storms of Sunday until late night. Oh channel 6
  3. I dont know if its already been mentioned, but I've gone to Cycle Pro on East Broad several times, for everything from winterizing to valve adjustment. Solid owner/operator that knows his stuff and is cheaper than the other shops I scoped out. I even text him with problems and he walks me through how to fix it myself. Now thats service... Just my .02
  4. Im in for a ride too. I might not be able to keep up after 7 grand, but I can try
  5. Seems like the trend is to make a new thread as a new rider, so here it is. Im Kevin from Reynoldsburg. Turning 21 in April, and I ride an 01 Kawa ZR-7S and 04 Suz Intruder 800. Im looking forward to meets around here, and warmer weather so I dont have to break out the thermal lining just to get to work. I just posted pics of my bike in this thread, if you got critiques or comments for me. http://www.ohio-riders.net/showthread.php?t=10018&page=45 I was looking for the sticky for the new members. If there is one, and Im posting this in the wrong place, let me know.
  6. Yup, only seen one bike like mine ever since I had it. I like rare stuff, but that comes at the price of no shop knowing what my bike is, or what parts its interchangeable with. Same thing with my car, even Advance Auto has to ask what make my 3000GT is...
  7. Guess I could post up, being my first day on the forum and all... And Im a fan of the naked Make: Kawasaki Model: ZR-7S Year: 2001 Mods: - 18K Tune up, Headlamp relay kit, Seat Reshaped, K&N, Stock Exhaust mod, LED Gauges, Homemade Phone/GPS Shock Mount, Homemade Fender Eliminator, Polished Header, "EGR" removal, and 135lb driver mod Mods to Come: Jet kit, Valve adjustment... You know, regular maintenance on my Sport Touring bike. The comfort of a Goldwing, the speed of a ZX-6 And I also have a 2004 Suzuki Intruder 800, but I only ride that when Im in the mood, or want to attract a slightly older crowd.
