  1. From Batavia here which is about 30-45ish min east of Cincinnati
  2. Hm, my most interesting jackass cager story happened about two weeks after I started riding... I was riding west on 125 through Bethel when I noticed a chick in an F-250 with a trailer full of livestock feed stop at the end of the stores driveway. Soon as I got about three car lengths from her she decides a good idea to go ahead and pull out without even looking!! By the time she lifts her head up from what ever she was looking at in her lap the truck was already 3/4 in my lane and she slams on her breaks.. Seeing the error in her actions, she then proceeds to throw the truck in reverse and attempt to get out of the road as quickly as possible. She then PLOWS the trailer into a pretty new looking cadillac right behind her The speed limit was only 25mph or something like that so I had plenty of time to slow, evade, and pull over and laugh. Good Times
  3. Damn i don't know how he does it? I have been through three in the past year guess I'll have to trade in again.. Cant even get a reimbursement for labor, time, and money spent..
  4. Hey everybody, Well I'm sitting here at work bored as hell and I came across Grouprider.com. Its a site to plan and list good rides all over the US. There really isn't much for Ohio from what I can tell but seems like a pretty good tool to share the fun rides out there. http://grouprider.com I did a quick search on the forum and didn't find anything regarding this site so I figured I would post it up. Be safe out there!! -Danny
  5. I was able to pick up a new mainframe for $100.00 shipped off of kneedraggers.com. I'm pretty impressed with the helmet so far. Its not too heavy, wind noise is minimal but you can still hear the bike and environment well, cant beat price for DOT and SNELL, graphics are solid, the venting system works OK, and doesn't fog on me. Then again I don't really have anything to compare it to haha. Hope this was helpful, Danny
  6. Be safe everyone, looks like the weather will be turning soon! Hope to see some of you all on the road soon!
  7. I just got my hotbodies windscreen yesterday and had a heck of a time for a bit... Then I just put as much as I could of the rubber and then gently pushed the rest in with an average sized Phillips screwdriver I had sitting right in front of me. Problem solved
  8. First thing that came to my mind.. Clicky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMXET24aY7s
  9. Ha, I was pretty nervous myself actually. Just wanted to make sure I passed! I really wasn't into paying another $70.00 for a flipping piece of paper to be inspected again. You should be good to go as long as you have your salvage title, paper from BMV, setup your appointment, and receipts for any and all repairs. Good luck! -Danny
  10. Well the inspection was very straight forward and a LOT smoother then I thought it was going to be!! I rode up to the State Highway Patrol station in Westchester/Mason (You can drive without tags as long as you go to the BMV after) and went to the back of the building. Once you are in the back, there is a door the left of the two large garage doors. Just walk on in and follow the signs. Once I got into the office I handed the officer at the window my paper work and we walked out for the inspection.. The office checked the frame number and engine number and that was it. He asked about a few cosmetic repairs and made small talk then we went back into the office. I had to sign some paper work and I was out the door! Simple as that!! Keep in mind if you are headed to the Westchester/Mason office (Exit 46 off of 275) the road you want to take is straight across from BP which is called "Hauck". Follow Hauck rd. until you reach a stoplight and turn right (you can only turn left or right) onto Reading/Cincinnati Dayton Rd. The station will be on your left hand side shortly after Gano Rd. (on left) in a strip. If you pass "Allen Rd." you missed it! Turn Around!! There is also a UDF down the ways more if you are thirsty or need some smokes. Be sure to bring your title, paper work to get inspected from BMV, receipts of items bought for repairs, and your motorcycle temp/endorsement. Hope this was helpful to all those getting their bike inspected! -Danny
  11. Hey everybody, I guess I'll start off by saying thanks a million for the tips on the salvage vehicle inspection! It all went smooth as butter As for the riding it was simply amazing, there really is nothing in the world quite like riding on two wheels. The trip from Batavia to Mason went pretty smooth. The only hiccup I had was pulling away from a light next to Shell gas station in East gate. Another rider pulled up next to me; I looked over and nodded then he did the same. The light turned green to merge onto State route 32 and I got a little too excited (I guess lol) and stalled it haha. I did notice all the sportbike riders I waved to waved right back, but the majority of the cruiser riders didn’t even turn a cheek. Not really a big deal, I always thought it was just respect for a fellow rider we all have. I'm praying the weather turns out good tomorrow and it doesn’t rain. I'm really looking forward to riding some more now that everything is taken care of. -Danny
  12. Condolences and prayers to the riders family and friends….
  13. Thanks for the replies everybody! Highly appreciated! -Danny
  14. Hey everybody, I wasn’t sure where else to post this thread and I was unable to locate anything through the almighty "Search" function. My bike has a salvage title and I’m shooting to have it inspected sometime this week at the Westchester,OH station. Has anybody had their bike inspected here? Anything I should watch for or be concerned about? I have repaired everything besides a few dings in the plastics. All the turn signals are repaired to a functional state with nothing hanging off the bike. The only thing I do not have yet is mirrors.. I'd really hate to go up there and them shut me down just to have to pay another $50 to get it inspected again. Thanks ahead of time, Danny
  15. Thanks for the welcomes and hellos! I'm looking forward to meeting you all once I can put my two wheels to the road!

  17. Hey everybody, New rider/member from Batavia, Ohio (30min SE of Cincinnati). I have been floating around for some time checking things out and getting a feel for this forum. Thanks for putting up such and informative site!! My new project Salvaged with 5 miles on the clock; The guy who bought it laid it down that day . His insurance totaled it and bought him a spankin new one.. A good friend of my family owns a shop (Racers Edge) and thats how I came across her. I have a little bit of body work to do and I'll be on the road! If anybody has thier stock rear turn signals for a '07-'08 zx-6r and is willing to part with them shoot me a PM. I'll meet up with you and take them off your hands!
