  1. if you want some fancy defense round, check these out...on paper, i cant think of any .40 round that sounds better for defense realistically - i think any good JHP is going to drop somebody, so im not sure i can justify the price of these quite yet the expansion numbers are very impressive, and the energy and velocity are nice too for a .40...kind of a light bullet though, but no more so than a 9mm bullet, and it will leave a bigger hole http://www.doubletapammo.com/php/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_26&products_id=389
  2. i think you should post nudes to prove ringo wrong
  3. ill check out that screw then...and yea, i could fit a pry bar in mine pretty easily...hell i bet i could get a long flat head in there and bust it open...get what you pay for i suppose, but i just dont feel safe with it when i close it and have to worry about there being a large gap
  4. lulz - more power to you, youre a brave man.
  5. key and i dont know about you, but if i broke into a car and saw they had a lock box, picked it up and it was heavy, i would assume theres probably something in there worth stealing...im 100% convinced that i could "steal" or break into my nanovault in less than 60 seconds ...if i ever do replace it with something more sturdy, i will be testing it to see how durable it actually is....ill look into the scew youre talking about...the gap is what bothers me the most...like i said, i cold fit a pry bar in there effortlessly because the gap is so big
  6. CEOs dont have to take part time lifeguard positions at a public waterpark
  7. ive been thinking of doing something like this....at least something more sturdy... something thick like a pistol vault, either bolted or welded to the floor behind the seat...havent looked too much into it though since the only time i lock it up is while im at work for 4-5 hours
  8. gotcha! this makes sense....like i said, i couldnt see the point of one but when you explain the reasoning behind it it makes more sense....i still chalk it up to preference though...i can see your advantage being that it cant be used against you - but at the same time you cant use it either during the struggle....guess thats whats great about firearms - theres so many options it allows someone to carry exactly what they prefer and feel safest with
  9. i have a nanovault also and hate it...i dont trust the cable at all, but in a single cab truck i dont have many options...i have a toolbox behind my seat that takes up my ledge so i cant bolt anything there...i may end up doing something else, but im thinking i may not bother... hell, the nanovault seem so cheap anyways i dont see why a thief couldnt get into one with a pry bar anyways....when mines closed theres a gap in it big enough to slip a pry bar in - and i dont imagine that cheap $30 box being that tough
  10. explain? or are you talking about the thumb safety? in a hand to hand situation, i would not want a mag disconnect...as i was mentioning to chevy, if something was to accidentally hit the mag release then the gun is just a paper weight...without the mag disconnect at least you still have one shot left
  11. personal preference i guess - if i was in a struggle with someone that was violent enough that my gun was being manipulated in a way that the mag release might be hit - the last thing i want to worry about it trying to free up a hand to reach for a spare mag curious though - why was it a must have for you? whats the other side of the argument? i cant think of a single reason to have it, so im curious to hear your reason behind it
  12. 21 according to chief...i think thats why 7yds is such a popular target distance
  13. i would prefer to not have a mag disconnect, especially for concealed carry...if there was a struggle like the guy who got jumped at that gas station in dayton, the last thing i would want to worry about it the mag release getting hit in the struggle and the round left in the chamber being worthless thats a feature that isnt make or break a buy for me, but it is a feature im glad my EDC doesnt have, along with a thumb safety
  14. "foo"? who is this "phil" douche? did ringo make another account?
  15. ah, i see...almost makes me wonder why he would go through the hassle of breeding them if he isnt gonna do it right
  16. isnt s&w pretty much giving those M&Ps away to police agencies? i know they were doing straight up trades for used HKs with some police departments. smart move i guess, to get your foot in the door or whatever....but i know they got some contracts simply because they were trading brand new guns for old used ones at no charge this is regarding washington state patrol....sounds like their product wasnt good enough to sell itself, so they had to give it away lol
  17. were they ragged and diseased or something? $500 for an english bulldog is cheap as fuck, my girls uncle paid $4500 for his
  18. dammit jason!!!! gen3 was almost mad enough to post naked pics of herself to prove to us all that she isnt the girl from ringos photo! you ruined it.
  19. i always get invited, and then you always say youre rescheduling and then never invite me back its a damn conspiracy
  20. lulz, i didnt even think about that...it was a hot fuckin summer too and didnt know one of the puppies died...thats shitty, should have just let me have it, i would have taken care of it instead of letting it kick the bucket...heck, if he would have taken care of it himself he coulda sold the thing...he pretty much flushed 2-3k down the toilet for no reason
  21. id hit it. rep..i dont even know wtf that is but i like this picture
  22. i wont say too much since i wasnt there and dont know both sides of it - but i doubt the heat could have been that big of an issue...the puppies did fine im assuming anyways...and honestly, if it was that big of a concern he could have gotten a space heater that plugs into the wall for them...i know i have backup plans for my pets that need heat, i even got a power inverter for my truck so i can power heat lamps in my truck if we lose power over the winter...if he cared about the puppies he could have kept them warm and really...i would report someone too if they had a bunch of puppies and dumped them on me to take care of them
