  3. I like where your going with this. I have done some thing similar, 02 gsxr K on a Motto Guzzi and a 2000 gsxr600 on a 79 honda xl 500 flattacker. The odd bearings might be impossible or expensive. What i did was to use the steering stem that came with the frame and make bushings to fit the stem to the new triples.Of coarse the bottom one needs to be a press fit. Have fun.
  4. I too would like to thank Armith for the great ride to the covered bridges. It took a lot of time and planning to pull this off so smoothly. And Armith if you plan any other rides let me know. It was nice to meet other riders in my neck of the woods and i hope to see you guys again sometime. brad
  5. When i took the riding test, there was a kid there with a sport bike and when he went thru the cones on the u turn part, he hit the fork stops and his foot went down, points off. So practice a sharp u turn on your bike slow and see what happens when you hit the stops. brad oh and welcme
  6. So the pinch bolt was loose and axle was free to move about. Your swing arm would then twist on hard acceleration making the tire rub. me thinks. brad
  7. Thanks for the comments, it was a fun build starting out with junk and making a good rider out off it. I got more pics of the hand made stuff that went in to it, but cant seem to post any more pics. brad
  8. I rode yesterday and today to work, 50 miles round trip, frost on the ground both mournings. Its my hands that get cold,A few minutes with my free hand on the valve cover and its good for awhile. The other hand has to wait for a stop light. And i to take the long way home. brad
