  1. I wouldn't get a 650. you stated you didn't want to make a mistake....so don't buy this.

You have 2 or 3 toys for the street...keep those nice bikes. you can find a good pure track bike for 3-4k. I was kinda stupid thinking i'd wanna ride my 600 on the street. At first I did. But I haven't been on the street with it since late May. It's prepped for track and i'm not touching it if I'm doing a track day every 3 to 4 weeks. It only takes 30 mins to prep it...but still. Plus, if you get your suspension set up for the track (at some track days there's someone there to do it for a fee) you wont wanna ride it on the bump streets. I took mine thru my 'hood yesterday and the suspension sucks on the slowest streets.

Buy a pure track bike. I'd suggest the new R6 model (not an 09), a new gsxr 750, or kawi 636.

    :worshipR6:

  2. I agree with Krav Maga. Muay Thai is a good art to know, but the problem is the lack of a ground 'game'. I use the word 'game' loosely, because in the street, there is no game.

My only suggestion would be to stay away from submission grappling if you are worried about self defense. Submission grappling is based on rules. There are no rules if you are trying to save your life or someone else's. Kill, or be killed. Taking submission grappling to a life or death situation is a good way to get killed.

Krav Maga or Jeet Kune Do would be my two choices. They teach lethal strikes...and try to finish the fight in the shortest time possible. That's what you want. No fluff. Throat strikes, groin strikes, eye gouges, whatever it takes. You won't learn that with submission grappling.

    very true!

  3. when i lived in columbus, id say i was about 9 or 10 when i started and was in taekwondo until i turned 18 then partying kinda took over and i quit i got my black belt but never pursued the "degree" rank i mainly helped out the instructors cause i used the gym to self teach Caporia the bad ass brazilian fighting technique. man thsoe where some good times..now if you ask me to try and do what i used to do id prob be in the hospital bed form pulling every muscle in my body and passout from smoking...be nice to get in shape again.

on fusions note..the place i went to "dublin taekwondo center" which was ran by the Slanes they started Krav Maga that was fun..Learning to fight in the dark.

  4. now if gaming was like it used to be were u had specific types of games only available on certain system. Only game I really got into ps2/xbox era was the Ninja Gaiden series which was only available on the Xbox. Now the they allow Sony to use them Im gonna have to vote PS3 10x better looking than on Xbox 360 and the 360 sounds like a jet about to go off and they break to much but the online play they say on 360 is a lil better than PS3 but only for now. But when I game its mainly on computer nothing beats a computer :-P

  5. I think the problem that a LOT of people have is that they become emotionally attached enough that they can't decide what is best for themselves, i.e. letting go of someone who isn't going to treat you right for whatever reason. In the end, it comes down to what you both want, and if the other person is giving lines, then you probably shouldn't want to be with them, even though that's not the easiest thing to do.

good point mj this shit was recently tried on me...thank god i learned..."move girl, ill light ya ass on fire" think thats how the song went by busta ryhmes  damn i got to get off these meds...
