  1. you always have the option to buy either a fairing set or buy new fairings piece by piece in good condition http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-06-Suzuki-GSX-600F-750F-GSX750F-F-Katana-FAIRING-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3a6477a4bcQQitemZ250793665724QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  2. There are endless articles about painting with rustoleum. I have never done it but its cheap and it works. Hot Rod magazine even featured a car on the cover that was rolled with rustoleum a year or two ago
  3. You could always roll it or paint it with a paint brush, dont laugh yet till you see the post and the price to do a whole car this way. http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40341
  4. Did anyone else notice the supercharger on page 3? Maybe he has more money then common sense. But heck, I think its kinda fun driving a car that looks like crap and going out and smoking vipers and nice looking exotics that people put big money into
  5. Before spending alot of money on a seat try searching the internet for seat mods that people have done. I found a link and modded my R1 seat myself. It turned it form a 50 mile seat to where I made 1500 mile two and three day trips on it. The least you will be out is a little effort and A seat you dont like and want to replace anyways. Here is a link that is similar to the one I did Ill tell you it was the best thing I ever did to that bike http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=272915
  6. I dont like to comment on things to early but so far they have been great. I have had them in every kinda weather Ill ever be in and they have done well in each. Grip is very good in all elements. They seem to grip better in the rain than any tire I have ever had. So far with the miles I have put on them they show no signs of wear which many tires would have already.
  7. On average I put in about 1000-2000 a month. But I did a four and a half day trip last week. We rode from Columbus to New Orleans then rode the gulf coast around into florida and back up through the mountains
  8. I now have now put 3500 miles on these tires in the last 28 days and they seem to not be showing any wear yet. I have ridden them in temperatures ranging from 15-95 degrees and in both rain and dry. They seem to perform very well no complaints yet. Ill let you know if I have them worn out in the next month or two and how many miles they go
  9. I have been on much of 78 and 800 these is all kinds of fun to be had in that area
  10. Fontana is very nice and also has some damn good pulled pork sandwiches and is very close to the dragon. And Ill have to say the Dragon is an overrated tourist trap so make sure you explore all the other good roads in that area that have less cops, higher speed limits, and reduced traffic
  11. I do a few long rides per year and sometimes I have to stay on pace so its nice to know I have the increased grip in the wet if they are really any better
  12. I considered the 2s but for only 20 more per tire why not try these? they claim to be better in the wet and are said to have a longer life then the 2s. Michelin has a great reputation with the 1s and 2s. I just would not see them coming out with a tire that would hurt there reputation
  13. I have a kobalt tool box and will have to say they are good boxes
  14. I have owned one of these they are fun skis
  15. I picked up the 1000 for around 125 bucks online. Its a very nice helmet and I think its better than any other I have owned in the past. The sunvisor is good to have if you forget your sunglasses but its not a replacement, It blocks some sun but is not the best.
  16. I had the road 1s on my zx9 and they lasted longer than any tire I have had on any bike. I hear many good things about the 2s so I jumped on a set of 3s thinking they would not spoil the good reputation they made with the first two models
  17. I went to Iron Pony over the weekend to pick up a set of pilot road 2s for my fjr and to my suprise Michelin just released the road 3. Has anyone heard of these or read anything about them? Maybe im going to be the test dummy as I jumped on the wagon and bought a set http://www.compacc.com/p/Michelin-Pilot-Road-3-Dual-Compound-Tires-V-Rated
  18. Its a sick bike hope he enjoys it
  19. boat season is coming someone pick this up may take trades let me know what you have, has to be smaller then the boat as the size is half the reason im selling it, would not mind a supermoto or something small
  20. The key to a good trip is getting there and back. So I would say make sure you check your tires (pressure and tread), change your oil, oil your chain, and just check the bike over. If your mechanically inclined most bike shops will do this for you. beyond that everything is up to the rider. I have rode my r1 over 1500 miles in three days with nothing but two pairs of clothes but some people perfer to bring along all kinds of stuff
  21. I like to make sure I get a room on the first floor outside it makes getting your bike inside alot easier
