If its anything I learned while buying cars, bikes, and trucks, it's that you should get EXACTLY what you want the first time around. If that means saving a little more or having the patience to hold out, do it. You'll be happier in the long run. I have searched non stop for the next project I want and I can't for the life of me make up my mind. The right 997 TT will show up at the right time.

Completely understand, I think you'll genuinely enjoy the car. I'd personally go with the 997.1 (with some GT3 cup seats) and do a Switzer package on it. They respond very well to minimal mods, and Switzer has them dialed in for sure. My buddy Ed Collazo over at Auto Assets deals with a lot of Porsches and I'm sure he or one of his techs could be a wealth of knowledge for you. (I know Andy can vouch for them) Aside from that, I thought if one wanted to go fast you'd need an LS1, cam, and spray?

I have been debating a 996TT/997TT or a GTR since I left. I still am leaning towards a GTR with a AMS Alpha9 package.

Save more. Buy gtr or gallardo. Why settle for second place at the cool kids club.

Not sure of your budget but I lived at Lifestyle Communities The Paddock off Hayden Run Rd. It was $1375/month plus utilities. Three story apartment 1300 sq/ft and attached HUGE garage on main floor. By far the nicest apartment community I have ever lived in and the staff is excellent. The director for all the Goat's (community bars) was my neighbor. Pool is unbelievable, and the women that live there are ridiculous. Any more questions feel free to ask.

I'd say I have medium wrists. The 42mm I bought looks good on my wrist now, I would like something with more depth as I think this Hamilton is only 16mm.
