  1. Great Bike!! I like the matt black. Its good to see more harley guys around here, you wont regret the buy. Im glad I bought my first one and probably wont go without one from here on. Im on my 3rd, They get in your blood. The statement...If I have to explain you wouldnt understand... is true. Congrats!!
  2. I am looking for a good used XT ultra lap timer. If you have one you want to sell, please let me know. Thanks
  3. I also use dynabeads.. Cheap and easy...they work great on a street bike, but never on a track bike. I tried it, and it sucked!
  4. Just a thought.. I had a bike that did the same thing. it was like a jackhammer at hard braking. It wasnt warped rotors at all. It was dirty spools in the rotor. If the spools that hold the outer ring on a floating rotor are too dirty the rotor wont "float" it acts like a solid. Take a toothbrush, soap and water and some kind if tool to wiggle the spools around and scrub the shit out of them to make sure they have movement. I took the rotors off the wheel and scrubbed them in the sink, but thats not necessary...I even put a tiny drop of 3 in one on each spool. I got mixed feedback on that part, but i wiped it down a lot to keep any from running out on the braking surface...try this first before you drop the coin on new rotors. It worked for me. Good luck.
  5. I personally wouldnt wear a regular boot at all. Not only are they not as protective.. they look stupid at the bottom of race leathers. as for toe sliders.. Get boots with sliders. My toes were the first thing to drag on the track, because of my poor foot and body position while learning. I even upgraded to metal sliders after I trashed the original plastics..I love me Alpinestars SMX Plus. a bit more pricy than your looking for, but Ive had them for around 6 years, and they still are in great shape. I take care of my shit though. thats why all of my stuff is old... paid for, but old.
  6. Sounds good. We try to get garage #6, look for us there.
  7. Thanks.. I hope it works for Twilight LED's
  8. IDK.. there is a place on the mid ohio track day purchase page to enter a coupon code. Im wondering who knows about mid ohio track day coupons. Or is there such a thing?
  9. Hey.. Im in process of signing up for more Mid Ohio track days, and there is a place for a coupon code. Does any one know where to get coupons for track days?
  10. Sorry to hear of your loss... RIP Pops
  11. Oh... and I run 31/31 on most track days
  12. Im With RedCow.. Id get the suspention set up at the track first and foremost. Then I go with an aggressive street tire. I like Dunlop Qualifiers, but the michelins, and Perellies are great tires. My track buddies use both. I use a street tire because I dont want a tire with limited heat cycles. Just my .02
  13. Check out www.tailofthedragon.com Lots of great local info on eats, sights and lodging.
  14. Thanks for the invite T Bone..But I dont think its do-able for me though. Ride safe!!
  15. Papa.. 23 is pretty cool once you get south of Ashland KY. I will actually take 104 to 35 @ Chilicothe, then hop over onto 93 at Jackson OH.. its Wayne National Forrest all the way to Ironton. That really shaves off about an hour. its faster to go around Portsmouth and the stretch of 23 in KY along the river. After Ashland KY its 99% four lane highway, with a few small tows along the way. Good for gas and food stops. Then just before Asheville i think it turns into 23/26 or 23/70..I think.. Ill have to look at the map for the exact numbers, but if you follow the 23 signs you end up going right past Dowtown Asheville.
  16. Weve been there many times and for me there are 3 ways to go. First, if your riding, I like 23 south from Columbus, all the way to Ashville NC, then over on 19/70 smokey mountain pkwy then 129 through Robbinsville NC, right through the dragon. Thats the long scenic rout. Its a beautiful long days ride. Second theres the direct rout. From Columbus take 71 south to 75 south to knoxville Tn, hop on 40 then take 129 thru deals. 3rd is the sportbike trip. Trailer the bikes right down 75 and stay in Maryville and ride the mountain roads from there. There are many thing to see in the area. WWW.Tailofthedragon.com, is a great website for area motorcycle friendly businesses. Good luck, and have fun.
  17. Sounds good.. Granted, I have baggage..Its just that ive seen pics on of some of the members partying, and they look like a hammer fest to me. Toasting with pitchers and all..Its hard not to judge and freak out.
  18. Just an FYI..My brother was killed by a drunk driver back in 04, so if drinkin and ridin becomes important... Im out.....If you drink and ride.. your fucking stupid!! Period!
  19. You can pick your friends, but you cant pick your family. Im lucky most of my family rides.. but a few of them just have to say shit from time to time. There have been accidents but they mostly seem to be accepting of the danger. Sometimes I dont show up on my bike.. so no one has reason to start running there hole about it. But with those narrow minded ass hats that wont let up.. I politely tell them my bike is none of there business, and if they keep giving me shit I just stop talkng to , or going around them.
