This was a person on foot checking parking meters with the neon vest on in the campus/short north area. I was told they can't run my tags on the little ticket machines they have, that's why she should've asked to see the registration. I guess it doesn't matter either way. Is there no wiggle room for someone who paid for their registration and the sticker came off?

Has anyone fought a ticket before? I got a ticket for failure to display or register. I was parked at a meter and got a ticket because my 2011 sticker wasn't on my car. I explained that I had put the sticker on my plates in September of '10 (right before my birthday), and I have my registration. She said it's not there now and told me how lucky I was it wasn't spotted during a moving violation because that ticket is $100. When I went to get a new sticker, the lady at the BMV said that I should fight it because she never asked for my registration or ran my plates to see if I was current. Thanks for the help.
