I am thinking that we would be back in Columbus area between 3 and 4.

I am sure you will love it James. I enjoyed the one I had but could not justify having two bikes so I sold it. The biggest thing you have to worry about with that bike is the sprag clutch. Do not let the battery get low or you could be replacing the sprag. The only other thing that I am aware of is the voltage regulator. They have a tendency to melt so you will want to keep an eye on it. The bike is a beast and you will absolutely love the torque. It will be quite different from your Suzuki. Congrats on the new ride.

Since I shorten the route slightly I am going to push the start time back 30 minutes. We will plan on meeting at 9:00 and departing by 9:30. Hope to see you all at the Pony next Saturday morning.
-
JustinNck1, thanks for the info on 144. I have rerouted around it now so we will avoid 144 on this trip.
-
I have modified the route to shorten it slightly. I took out the stuff east of Marietta since that is where we will be going in July. The route is down to 242 miles and will take us down to Logan, over to Glouster for gas stop then down to 50. From 50 we will take 555 all the way up to 37 then back toward the Pony. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/8019310

No doubt, that sounds like torture to me. I guess decent ing would be fun.

Thanks for the info.

We will meet at Iron Pony in the NW corner of the parking lot at 8:30 and depart by 9:00. The route is 290 miles and can be viewed here: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/8019310 I am not sure of the condition of 555 but it was requested that I include the road so we will see. Planning on stopping at Big Muskie Bucket as well. Hope to see you on June 20th.
-
Instead of going up through Newark we chose to jump on 70 since several had to get home. I was happy to bypass going through Heath and Newark. June 20th will be the next ride, mark your calendar.
-
That is strange. It did go into Newark but should have gone back to the pony on 161. Oh well.
-
Not sure how that would be Judd. We were no where close to Johnstown. We had a great ride. 8 bikes and some great twisties. Thanks to everyone that came out. Hope you enjoyed the ride.

This is the route if anyone is interested. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/7939798

The weather is going to be great for the ride. See everyone tomorrow morning. Make sure you are gassed up and ready to go.

I have a set of frog toggs as well and have worn them many times in the rain. They work well. I will be getting a set for my wife this year.

I was down in the area yesterday 5/16 and found that 56 had been scraped up to be repaved. I am not sure where it starts or ends but I I know it is at least from 93 to 378. Not a good road to be on right now.

We will be doing our May ride on Saturday the 23rd. This month we will be heading down into the Hocking Hills area. Meet in the NW corner of Iron Pony parking lot at 9:00 am. Hope to see you there.
-
It would have been great to see you Hutch.
-
Today was a perfect day for a ride. Thanks everyone that joined me. It was nice to ride with you and I look forward to doing it again in the future.
-
With this being the first ride of the season the pace will be moderate. Not parade pace but not dragging knees. Everyone rides their own pace, nobody gets left behind. We wait at all turns so nobody misses the turn.
-
Out away from the building over toward Autozone.
-
Maybe we will hook up next month. Trust me, I know plenty of routes south of columbus for sporty bikes. I am sure I will be heading SE next month.
-
I am putting a short ride (160 miles) together for this Saturday. We will meet in the parking lot of Iron Pony at 10:00 and head north through Danville then head back down 79 to 161. As long as the weather holds off it will be a good shake down ride. Everyone needs to get the winter cobwebs out before pulling off some major miles. See you on Saturday!
-
How was it last weekend? Did I miss much? I almost went out on Sunday but I did not want to drive that far if there was not going to be anyone there.
-
Of course you will, I am in Medina this Saturday.

Does anyone know what the status is on Buckeye Lake. I am itching to try out the cold cutters.
