  1. Anyone still planning to go tonight? Weather looks ok as of now.
  2. Suspension is a good mod if you can afford it, and I would spend my money there vs. some of the other mods you listed like a power commander, etc. You'll learn a couple extra hp doesn't mean crap the first time one of the fast SV riders blow by you on a bike with 30 less hp.
  3. I have the black d-ring rivet ones from kurvey girl. 5 of them I have no problems with at all, but the 6th one keeps coming loose and falling out. After replacing it with the only 2 spares I had and those both came out, I resorted to using a zip tie. It hasn't come loose yet! It does suck to have to find the cutters every time I want to take the lower off to change oil or whatever though.
  4. And he will throw in the instant street cred for free. No chicken strips on your tires prove what a bad ass street rider you are.

    Fun TSA facts

Sounds like I need to get a job at the tsa headquarters in dc. If you can't beat em, join em.
  6. I still have your helmet, but it was too big for my gf. I'll bring it to the track.
  7. I'll be signing up for Saturday for sure now. I was debating this weekend with TrackTactics or next with MotoSeries, but apparantly I have "girlfriends mother, not even my -in-law day" duties this weekend so the 19th is looking better.
  8. Nice. I used to ride CR125 and 250's but I haven't had the chance to ride any of these thumpers. Might have to try one out.
  9. I'm in for Sat not sure if I'll stay for Sun.
  10. What weather are you looking at? Weather.com shows highs of 70/69 for next weekend in good ol' wampum, with a small chance of rain Sat. Of course that's all subject to change.
  11. Link to more info? Never heard of track tactics before. I'd like to attend either this weekend or the motoseries event the following weekend at beaver. Whichever weekend looks like it will have the better weather is the one I'll be at.
  12. Rapid Transit Recon 77 Saddle Bags - $75 (+shipping if needed) FEATURES Wind/Water resistant 1000D nylon construction Scratchguard rubberized contact fabric Expandable main compartment Hook and loop adjustable system Quad-adjust mounting system Heat and water resistant bottom Reflective stripe Rain cover 49cm x 28cm x 28cm each (38.4 Liters) 19.3" x 11" x 11" each (2335 cubic in.) Black / Gunmetal I used these for one trip from Ohio to Florida and back. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to ride a crotch rocket across the country. Its not, lol. I won't be doing any more trips like that on the Daytona and want to clear out the garage. Worked good the 1 trip I did use them. Good shape except 2 small blemishes. There is a small spot on one of the bags and 1 strap that got too close to the undertail exhaust and are melted. No hole in the bag and the strap is still usable. Pics will follow.
  13. I've got a GoPro Hero Wide Angle that I think I'm gonna get rid of too. It might as well be brand new. I seriously used it 1 track day at Beaver. I forgot to turn it on half the time, and never did anything with the videos I did take. I'll throw that one out there for $80 since this is turning into a for sale/want to buy thread, lol.

    Nothing happened?
  15. I have spares, lots of spares! I part out wrecked Daytonas to fund my track days so I have boxes of spares. I've kept clutches, chains, sprockets, brake pads and rotors, wheels, levers, etc. Also, that's why I want to practice. I know I'm not doing it the best I can. But even then, I know I'm a super Noob at track racing but I've done pretty well on the starts. Last year at Beaver in the mini 20 I went from about 12th on the grid to 2nd into turn 1, passing a lot of the seasoned riders, even Andrew. Of course he passed me back by turn 9.
  16. Sure thing. If the weather is decent I'll probably be going. I'll let you know.
  17. I figure if I get far enough ahead on the start you might not pass me back up after a few laps. I typically launch around 6-7000 rpm. I'd like to experiment with 8-9000.
  18. Going this Wed? I've been wanting to take my bike to the drag strip to practice launches. Wouldn't mind going when a few other bikes are there.
  19. With all the money they spent putting the addition on the track, don't know why they couldn't have filled in all the seams while they were at it. On another note, don't get it in your head that the seams are going to be the death of you. I noticed the seams when I went over them but they never bothered me. Of course that was the first track day I ever did so my pace may have been a bit slow.
  20. All that was missing were the whips and chains. Oh and the ball gag.
  21. Whats up is your head! You look like you're riding a cruiser. Got your ass off the seat at least, but get that head down. http://electriceyeimages.photoreflect.com/store/Orderpage.aspx?pi=1W9E000Q010938&po=938&pc=5094
  22. Saturday would be good. I have my old set of track plastics I rashed pretty good and wouldn't mind trying to fix them for a spare set. I'll offer my place as well. Not any more central than jbot though. My garage is open and I have a decent selection of tools.
  23. There's no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people. Wait....what?
