  1. ya I think I was behind you on broad st today. im also in blacklick. you look like you need to relaxe just a bit and give your self more room behind cars. I just say that because 2 times the cars started stoping fast like always on broad and you didnt seem to see it always look a few cars a head of you. I also like to start slowing down early to get the cars behind me to slow up off my ass. o and dont take this as picking on you its just all things I learned dont want to see anyone go down because people in cages think nothing about people on bikes.

  2. It's Harley-based, so the oil kinda changes itself whether you like it or not. :p

I have had no leaking or burning oil problems with my buell. I have 12000 miles on it now. you cant put a monster in this as for all the cost that comes with having a ducati your like a slave to a ducati dealer lol.

  3. Pro's

Great handling, plenty of power in the midrange (4k on up)

    Smooth engine for a V-twin

Unique, haven't seen another, although didn't see another 690 when I had it

Really comfy seat for distance riding

Upright seating position so this old back doesn't get kinked even on a 1300 mile round trip

Good handling on Smokey Mtn fireroads

Really low maintenance... After break-in 7500 mile valve adjustments and oil changes

Lots of folks asking where'd I find such a big dirt bike

    Con's

Low mpg....around 30mpg...5 gal tank helps a little but honestly it's still not broken in.....a little over 4k miles

Poor factory backing on known issues

    a) drive chain slap dealer couldn't figure out (will try new chain and sprockets this spring)

    b) rear brake squeal (not really a problem but embarrasing imo, dealer recommends softer compound rear pads)

Ktm aknowledges both problems but offer no solutions.

Closest dealer I've found to Dayton is Louisville

So far only added Garmin 550, power outlet and R&G tail tidy

Soon to be added Akro ti full system with a dyno tune

there is a ktm dealer right in reynoldsburg just about 15 min east of columbus.

  4. 15 year old Andrake D. Kelley was involved in a dispute at the Apple Store. The argument was taken outside and the he was shot in the head a few blocks away at the Diamond Cellar. The suspect fled the scene. Police say no arrests have been made but they are questioning someone of interest.

wow thats right next to my ex wifes place of work. Alot of people get jacked coming out of the apple store. thugs want Ipad's to.

  5. you think easton is bad just wait till they make weston that close to the hilltop and the bottems. wtf. my sons mother works up at easton the sad thing is that alot of what happens at easton isnt aloud to make the news because les wexner will not let them talk about it. I grew up in Pataskala love it there mmm now I want some caps pizza...

  6. So, we unfortunately had to do it today. We put our Black great dane, Maggie, down this morning. She was having quite a few problems, and I just wasn't going to let her go out like that. Sucks, I've only lost one other dog in my life. Sad stuff....send her some OR love to doggie heaven if you would please...may the doggie dudes and rabbits to chase be plentiful whereever you are girl...

its crazy that your dane was also named maggie. So was ares she lived to 12. had to put her down two years ago.

  7. I think the fz8 looks like a good step up for any of you with the fz6 as in it will have a little better power and still keep you with the same riding postion. I think yamaha will sell alot of them.

  8. Well on my way into work on the bike this morning I made 8000 miles on the bike for the year. how many did everyone else do. I know im not done for the year also. as long as when I wake up at 3am and its above 45 im good to go lol. nothing like 30 miles at 45 out to wake you up.

  9. I disagree... Not having a helmet law affects all motorcycle riders through more expensive insurance rates.

I won't ride with anybody that doesn't wear a helmet. If somebody is dumb enough not to wear a helmet they are too dumb to ride with/near me.

will this is wrong in that insurance company's really dont care they are still going to charge you one arm and one leg. helmet law or not. they only asked me what cc my bike was.

  10. got my video's up from the deals gap trip. just go to my channel. youtube.com/turboglock had alot of fun didnt push it to hard but still put the bike on a full lean. totally ate up my tires :) had to get both replaced.

  11. Two bikes you have just really wanted to own and if you get a chance will jump on the opportunity.

    1. mv agusta brutale

    2. ducati streetfighter

Im always looking for them used and in my price range

  12. What should I know about these? Pros, cons and any comparisons to my current 600RR

I have run across what seems could be a steal on an 05 with 1,800 miles and completely stock. If i were to get it and like it, that would make the honda expendable or it would buy some time for my roommate to get his finances in order to purchase it off me if I end up preferring my current bike

I believe that its a 636 compared to the 599 cc honda RR and that will give it just a little more grunt at the low end of the RPM's should feel better on the street getting on it at a stop light.

  13. Errr, no. Get thee some training. Better yet, get a dual sport and learn how to ride on loose surfaces.

grrr really. ok lets look at the numbers of people that have gone down to lose surfaces and just because you have training on it dosnt mean you will make it thou any situation. I havent gone down on gravel but i have gotten very lose and saved it. if you hit it in a turn and you have the bike leaned over hard the odds are against you.
