I googled that plate# and found that story reported as happening in Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina and Colorado. Only new URL I could find was for the Denver Channel, but the story has expired.

Does your work computer have some advertising plugin? Mine started doing that after installing PSPad and I found it had installed adware alongside PSPad.

The executive pay raises have been rescinded, according to snopes; http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/hostess.asp That was a scummy move on their part, upping their own salaries. Looting the ship as it sinks? They should be jailed for that shit.

I use CentOS for everything, but my main PC and laptop are windows 7 because all my ECU Flash/CCTV/Dashcam integration software is windows only. CentOS is ridiculously easy to set up. I just build a new GPS Vehicle Tracker server for my cars (my previous vendor is shutting down in December) using OpenGTS. Basically a LAMP server. Built it and had it up and running with OpenGTS tracking 2 cars my motorbike in about 4 hours. 3 of those hourse was the leanring curve on getting the OpenGTS software to accept data from OpenDMTP hacked onto a Boost iDEN phone. CentOS 5.8, MySQL 5.5.28 and Tomcat7. Added ant, JDK (with jre) and the JDBC driver for MySQL. I need to add filesystem and database backups to my NAS mount and I'll be done. The website is SSL (although I have to import the self-signed cert as a trusted RCA into any browser I use to avoid the "not a trusted RCA" warning) and I can access it from anywhere.

There's so much spin on that that I'm dizzy... What really happened what the Department of Labor (not Obama) Sept 28th reminded Lockheed-Martin that they could forego the mandatory WARN act notices (mass layoffs) related the defense budget cuts because the scope of the cuts was not yet known and the scope of any layoffs related to it was not known, if there even were going to be layoffs at all. Rather than wasting money sending out mailers to everyone who *might* possibly be laid off, LM was told they could save the money by not sending out the mailers. The employees were still told of the situation, though. The DOL further stated that if it turned out that layoffs WERE required then the government would reimburse any legal costs related to the subset of people that actually should have had WARN notices. Basically, why send 20k (WAG) people layoff notices when you don't even know which, if any, might be laid off? It's a waste of time and money. WARN notices are 60 days prior to layoff, forcing any layoffs related to any WARN notices dated the end of September to be no earlier than the END of November. Layoffs that happen AFTER the election would not effect pre-election job numbers. Obama has done plenty of things to get pissed off about - but this is not one of them. http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/lockheed.asp WARN notices suck. I've had one myself.

The poor little guy went back tonight. He's back with the foster carer who again acknowledged his aggressive tendencies but again stated that he "doesn't mean it" and will stop snarling if you give him what he wants. Well, I don't blame the dog. I say the dog needs a strong owner who has the time and experience to rehabilitate him and break him of his "if I snarl and snap then I get what I want" mindset. I'm sure he'll make a great pet one day. He's just not ready yet. They also need to give full disclosure when adopting out dogs with known issues. Had we known he was a snapper then we would never have agreed to take him. If I lived alone I'd work with him - but I don't, and my kid's safety trumps all other things.

Sounds like every health plan I ever had since 1997. - Obama's healthcare didn't implement tobacco surcharge - I've been (not) paying that for years. - Spouse surcharge? My company won't even cover my spouse if she has insurance available - Her company charges a $2k insurable spouse penalty. Been doing that for year, not because of Obama's healthcare. - Deductibles / copays. As economy craps out the companies push more cost onto the workers. Happened during the recent recession, happened under Bush in the early 2000's. Not related to Obama's healthcare. - My insurance premium goes up every year. Healthcare is more expensive due to factors like uninsured people, malpractice insurance payments etc. The rate of increase has stayed constant for me. Obamacare not to blame. - FSA upper limits are set by the IRS. Which limit has gone down? I'm not aware of anything. Might be just your company. FSAs are linked to taxes, not obamacare. **EDIT Correction: (Yes, Obamacare gave the IRS the ability to limit the medical FSA limit. The IRS set it at $2500. The reason I didn't see a drop is medical FSAs used to be as big as the company wanted to allow, but I have never worked for a company that allowed more than $2500. Therefore I saw no change and didn't know the duty of setting the limit had moved from the employer to the IRS) **What was your limit last year?

Shouldn't the title be NEVER play catchup?

Those people spending stupid money on Hostess products obviously believed the myth that Twinkies last for years. Nope, baked, 25 day shelf life. Your $300 in cookies will expire before the stores are all out.

Had the same thing happen to me. Turned out when I installed PSPad it also installed an app that did the same thing. I just uninstalled that app.

Our existing two dogs are very passive. I've only ever seen them fight over a new toy, even though we buy one each. They have gotten into it a couple times - landing one of them in the vet hospital one time. It's rare, but whenever we introduce new toys we have to keep an eye out for that.

I just took him outside. Growled as I put the leash on. Came back inside afterward and he went into the wrong crate, chasing out of my other dogs out. I reach in to pull him out and the teeth came out again and he snapped at my hand. I placed the two crates face-to face with the doors open to transfer him back into his own crate and he was having none of it. I finally used a stick (not gonna use my hand) to prod him on the butt to try to coax him back into his own crate - he attacked the stick, bit it wouldn't let go. Yeah, I'm done with this. He has unresolved problems and is in need to more specialized care and handling than I can provide. He's not just ready to come out of fostering yet. One he is in a space he feels safe he is extremely aggressive towards people or my other dogs who come near him.

I've had a rescue dog in the past that was a great pet. I've also had a rescue that was a vicious little shit. We gave him a month before we were just done with it. He was food-aggressive, would randomly snap if he suddenly decided he didn't want you near, would hide in the corner of the room and had no interest in us unless we had food. He never improved and had to go. This dog is showing all the same behaviors, and is getting worse, not better. Aggressive rescue dogs can often be brought around, but that takes a special kind of training and patience - and that is what the foster home is for. They should evaluate, identify and correct behavior issues, or at least let you know about them so you can make an informed choice when you adopt.

He still has the big canines - no less capable of harm. And he is getting worse. Now he growls and snarls whenever I go near his crate. He's learned that aggression is how he gets his way. I don't have the time to invest in fixing this. This was supposed to be an old house-trained dog that is good with kids and just needs a new home.
