  1. ok well instead of tellin me what isnt good in my budget maybe give me some hints as to what is hubby buddy butt buddy
  2. you have to snag the output before the factory amp to avoid the rpm feedback through the aftermarket amp...which is what i planned on doing unless thats what you did and if so ill hafta shoot for a dif amp to cover the factory speakers then lol
  3. ok so ive been to a few shops tonight and it seems to be from what everyone is tellin me that what i want is just some powerful sq.....im lookin mainly at 2-10" subs around 1,000-1,900 watts and about a 1,500 watt amp...ive seen some jbl and powerbass subs/amps tonight that meet what ive been lookin for...any sellers or suggestions to my criteria?? p.s. i probably dont need a box, from what ive seen im most likely gonna make a white cloth covered sealed box with a slash cut front for the two 10's (seems to be the best for the hatchbacks)...interior of my car is black with white ceiling
  4. ill let u put it in my gti if u want
  5. im pretty much lookin for sql...want somethin that puts out good quality n gets loud...maybe not loud enough to wake the neighbors but loud enough where they can probably hear it...i listen to mostly rock so quality is a issue...and as far as the box...i def have the skill to build one its just probably not going to be the best as i dont know about the little details that make a box from good to great...
  6. im gonna look at some you guys suggest online when i get home, im at work on my phone right now i just figured this way i could have some options to look at by then
  7. uh, both? lol...if i had to choose id say for quality cause im not goin to have it cranked 24/7, but at the same time i would like to have the power available to me where if i do crank it you can hear me a couple blocks away without loosing any beats...i woulda thought that would be everyone's goal when gettin subs..
  8. hahaha...you are so speakin greek to me
  9. oh yea i know alpine is a good brand...as well as rocksford fosgate (however u spell it) and orion too...im more-or-less lookin for suggestions on actual subs + amp for my budget...im really hopin to get a setup of around 1,000-1,400 watts
  10. so i recently got a gti and im lookin to get some subs since i finally have a car with enough space to fit a box...i havent been into the car audio scene in a while and i was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on brands or whatever to look into...im hopin to get this all done for around $500-550.
  11. well as a side note how i messed up my shoulder is probably cause i panicked...she started turning into my path about 75 feet from the impact and i stiff-armed the steering wheel to brace myself...i wouldnt have hit my head on the steering wheel if the air-bags had gone off like they were supposed to tho
  12. yea i def planned on gettin a few things done but untill this insurance case is settled i dont know how much i can really spend on it yet...speedytripple has a 3rd gen gti and already told me about that site but so far all im reading there is Той не е с всичкия си! lol
  13. thanks guys, its appreciated i dont know the full details but my girls' uncle just had surgery on his rotator cuff bout 3 weeks ago and he'll be out of work till sometime january, so i hope thats not goin to be my situation :/
  14. as a few of you may have noticed i havent been punishing the threads lately with my annoying bold font because i totaled my truck monday 2 weeks ago, (sept 28). some lady took a blind left in front of me and i t-boned her car (it was either a newer ford explorer or expedition, i never found out for sure which one). the front left of my car hit her passenger side directly into her front wheel, where most of the damage is on my vehicle. dare i say it, women drivers......sigh... so i spent about 3 hours in the er that morning strapped to the most uncomfortable plastic board they loaded me into the ambulance on instead of bein at work...all x-rays and the cat scan came back clear, however i am in physical therapy 3 times a week because i messed my shoulder up real bad (yea wear your seatbelts kids). if no improvement in my shoulder (to be exact the rotator cuff) ill probably have to get surgery, so lets keep our fingers crossed.. on the up side though i got a new car (to me) its a 2006 vw gti...complete with lots of airbags so fyi....if anyone is out on their bike and a gti passes them and flips them the finger....its because of jealously....needless to say because of my shoulder and other pain i suspended my bike insurance today till further notice....
  15. yea well i heard if you blast the seats of the bike with at minimum 120 psi that will refresh the air for at least 8 mo....on the other hand i highly recommend this stuff make sure those blinkers work!
  16. i got both stands off bruised for 50 bucks yesterday so im set...all i need now is a trickle charger and a bike cover and im set for winter. bad still needs stands though so maybe you two can get in touch with each other (as in contact, not actually touch each other k)
  17. the asvab tests are easier than a g.e.d. test....you can pass that shit in basically any section with flying colors while a retarded monkey is poking you in the side of the head....my advice is study on the mos you actually want to go into, cause thats really the only score that matters. <B>what branch? and fyi...those that are stating their scores...their different for each branch....army top score is 90 across the board and the navy is around 130 i think. each branch of the forces have a different score for each section (ex. mechanical, electrical, computers, etc etc). the only way you can say you got a score of, example, '78' is taking the overall average of all sections (around 8 sections i think) for say your army scores...which means you could have scored a 66 on your math skills and you could also score a 90 (perfect) on your mechanical skills, makin your average 78 for those%

  22. they can make them out of cast iron and they'll still drop the bike...harbor freight just makes that kind of quality
  23. trex does have some badass deals...if bruiser wasnt hookin me up that would be my choice over IP anyday
  24. harbor freight? rly? :cough:
