i kept oem on mine.............. i have no problem with the way mine accelerates so i kept it the same.
Same here. I know most will disagree with me on this one, but my 600 has all the acceleration I need.

I'm kind of thinking that's more of a "Don't drive 120mph on the open road" than a "wear your helmet cause you'll live" piece.

I have always wanted to go, have heard people talking about it for years. I just never had the time/money/expierence. Now that I have quite as few years under my belt, I'm looking to plan some kind of trip. Is there a road/area close to Ohio that anyone would recomend?
Thanks in advance.

was thinking about how to go about this. Looks great!

Lights look amazing, reminds me of what the new BMW 1k is trying to do. That thing is pure awesome with one exception, I think side mount plates are ghey. That's just me, I worry about ground clearance on stuff that low.
+rep for you, I want one.
I couldn't figure a good place to mount it. I don't like under the tail, so the side it went. I have scraped it a couple times (before), but it just bends. It's not hard enough to worry about picking up the rear on a dive.
Where it's at now, it would never hit, unless it's on it's side. And if that's the case, I have more to worry about than a scuffed plate.

I like it. Very tasteful.
Thanks, that was what I was shooting for. I see all these rebuilds in bike mags that all look the same! No offense to the chrome-out/190 tire +15 inch swingarm crowd.

I dont know....I changed it out over the winter.....
I went with a bar end mirror
yea, I might have to resort to the same.
-
Sorry to see that. Hope everythings fixed up quick.

Very cool design! I like the style alot!

Bike looks much better except for the headlights. Looks like you spent enough on it to buy a newer bike
You would think so, but I did all the work myself; cheaper that way. As far as the headlights, to each their own.

Johnny Law....????
Like my friend Johnny Law....????
What did police say about the camera. I'm just wondering if I'm going to get a ticket for not having mirrors.
-
I like the Rear View Camera...I did that Once
I didn't like the mirrors, just gave me a view of my shoulder. What did Johnny Law have to say about the camera? Still not sure if it's legal...

There is no real secret, it is pretty basic. Chop, grind, weld, paint, repeat.
-
looks awsome. I think we need a write up.
Ohhh.......I think that would take some time.
-
oh, BTW. Brian at Dyno Tune Motorsports in Columbus is great. Helped me out a lot with my custom fuel map.
-
looks good man!
did you mean to have your shifter so low?
I've had a couple comments on that. That's where it's comfortable for me.
-
so basically, you kept the tank?
Kept the tank, rims, engine, and frame. EVERYTHING else is replaced, new, or modified to the point where it's something else completely.
-
Yea, thought it would be better over here.

Hello all, first real post. If it should be somewhere else, let me know.
So, for the past nine months, I have been rebuilding my 2002 GSX-R 600-M. She has seen a lot of miles, and frankly was getting the shit kicked out of her cosmetically. So, I wanted to give her a face-lift; and me being me, the project got way out of control. A long, long, long story short, nine months later, here she is.... my franken-bike 2000-whatever GSX-V3 (version three). Any comments, questions, or whatever, let me know. Hope to see ya around Columbus or Mansfield.
